Tribute from Mel B (the business owning one)

It’s sad because I was hoping he would be around for a 30th edition celebration / reissue in 2028.
I remember Guy Oseary wanted her to tour and play the album in its entirety as a tour / residency for one of its anniversaries and she wasn’t interested. Who knows - maybe this will ignite her to revisit that material and that time as a tribute to Orbit.

Do we know who the producer she was planning to go into the studio with originally was?

Well he had a UK top ten in the outfit he was in, Bass-O-matic (Fascinating Rhythm, UK #9, 1990) and it's a bit odd not to mention his previous Madonna remixes, but we're seeing through Guy's lenses and he came later - it's still a lovely tribute.

Yes, I sit squarely on the pedant bus too. If it didn’t happen in the USA, it didn’t happen at all (or matter)

Aside from that, these are lovely words from them both.

There was that letter that leaked a few years ago where she slagged off nellee hooper so I suspect it was him. I think she fired him and William Orbit entered the picture. The babyface stuff didn’t really go anywhere and was shelved.

The album she refers to as sounding like different producers worked on, surely that's Bedtime Stories, no? A bit odd describing it as a nightmare experience.

I find it wonderfully quaint now to be reminded that people once wrote letters for non bureaucratic purposes. her letter to Pat explaining the new direction for ROL was fabulous.

disturbing lack of typos and freewheeling punctuation though...

His version of Barber's Adagio for Strings (stretching and cool down) and the Ferry Corsten remix are spin class STAPLES.

full length interview with William filmed the night after he'd seen the Celebration tour.

I do enjoy how the caption rather makes it sound like he'd been on an all night bender.
