On the one hand I'm a little bit at *this* being the straw that broke the camel's back for many, rather than, y'know, the ICE Raids, the rampant corruption etc.

But it is bringing out a lot of quiet fury in the media.

Conservatives are openly criticizing him for it too, and the comments particularly upset conservative women (which was Trump’s weak point to begin with)

Not sure it will make a difference ultimately though, since he’s gone low plenty times before.

There is something especially low about it, even by his standards. The length and ferocity of it was surprising. His wibbling and waffling is becoming so disjointed, disproportionate and nonsensical that it can no longer be ignore or excused, even out of political expediency.
