I really think it would be good to have 3 - Indie is a must and octy brings gravitas to the role, but Zen would bring the tech skills. There's room for all of them surely? It feels like shooting ourselves in the foot to limit it to two when there could be 3 who bring different skills
 
I see absolutely no reason to get of indie or octy and I think Zen will bring something really valuable to role and Moopy. I see no reason why all three can't be admin.
 
I'm not sure how comfortable I am giving admin powers to someone who hasn't been a member for five months yet. Sorry @ZenGiraffe.

I think for me (as a poster) is wanting to know is there stuff that Indie/Octy can't do? Do you need help? I'm still thinking of the security aspect, perhaps because I've seen the admin side of it and know what it involves.
 
I'm not sure you can, for me, at least - I don't expect others to necessarily feel the same. It's absolutely nothing personal as I'm quite sure I'd feel the same about anyone as new as you are. And I have no issue at all with you being a mod.
 
I actually know what lolly means. Admin could irretrievably delete the whole site and we've had total mentals who have managed to appear normal for more than five months before now.
 
I can only repeat what I've already said which is that I feel that, whatever else I do offer, a deficiency in the techy side of things is a hole for me. Indie seems fine with that and anything I have done has been fine (eventually). But if we're going to maximise what we can do, we need some background knowledge. I couldn't have installed the new emojis, I don't think. Or maybe I could have, I dunno.

Again as a poster, I think I feel this too, but agree with lolly about Zen being a mod and perhaps helping a bit more remotely. Big ron did something similar recently with some amazon link issues.
 
Sorry, that sounds harsh. But it doesn't help me, in terms of my knowledge of him.
 
As this is not a popularity contest and "let's vote for who's been here the longest", I'm voting for Jirafa. I understand what some people are saying, but I have no reason not to trust him, and if he knows his stuff, that's what we need.
 
I have no reason NOT to trust him, either! I just need more than that.
 
I didn't mean that, sorry. I meant that I actually know the same about all of them (not much). Of course it's not the same for some of you and that doesn't mean you just don't trust him.

And I think you're asking the wrong question. I do not feel comfortable giving that power to someone who wasn't even known to us before lockdown.
