Rose Gray - Louder, Please (Debut Album)

It is interesting listening back to her first EP now. There's a bit more of a soulful influence and she did different things with her voice. Still some tunes on there though, and a very respectable St Et cover:

 
Angel of Satisfaction and Switch both keepers from my first purge. It's very solid.

The TSHA album though: it really bangs in places; I kind of wish they'd become a duo if we got more songs spiking as high as Girls.
 
after a week I think it's a super solid debut and very listenable front to back. if you start at track 2. I hope it's still on rotation when we get some nicer spring weather.

How did she get away with sampling Eiffel 65 without even crediting them on 'Just Two'?

 


From the clip it doesn't seem as though it has that hazy wibbly sound as much as the original.
 
the remix sounds like it strips everything good about the song away :D oops
 
she signed to a major last month (Republic I think) so I would expect a bigger push and budget going forward, maybe beginning with a deluxe edition of Louder, Please?

seems she has a remix album/EP coming - Jade is on the Angel of Satisfaction remix apparently :disco:
 
My daily mixes have not stopped HAMMERING this album so a refresh with are Jade is most welcome. I do hope she has a little rest soon though.

Another banger, I really hope she gets a break through hit soon as her material has been fantastic.
 
Very derivative for me. I feel like I'm being edged a Move Your Body by Xpansions via a Chicane remix. I'll give it another bash later.

she also seems to have made a video for a song she's been doing live called I Don't Speak French, so plenty more to come
 
April has been on repeat for me since release and Lotus sounds even better :disco:
 
Absolutely love Lotus. It definitely has that dreamy banger vibe of some of her pre-album stuff.

I saw her support Sugababes and despite the crowd being totally uninvested, I was living and she was fantastic.

I really hope she has a breakout hit soon.
 
The new version of First (with Melanie C singing backing vocals) is absolutely stunning.

It has single potential written all over it.

 
I don’t know where I’ve been because I’ve never heard of this girl until today. I’ve just immediately ordered her deluxe album on vinyl. :disco:
 
I Don't Speak French is really good although having seen it live two days ago this version feels slightly lacking punch.

also they seem to have forgotten to include it on physical pressings despite saying it's on there :eyes:
