A very fun first episode if a little over produced. I think they chose a great group of Queens to compete this season.

The reading challenge was the best in ages. I also really enjoyed the performance but there’s no way that was choreographed by the Queens. RuPaul gave VERY Mariah tease with that number.

LOVED both episodes.

Gottmik deserved :disco: What a talented queen.

I like te no-elimination format for All Stars, especially when the talent is this good, but I DO miss the lip sync assassin format.
 
Fun pair of episodes, though I fear we’re in for another season of Jorgeous being routinely overrated.

These critiques are nauseating.

I predict Angie and Roxxxy for lip syncing tops. Forgot Plastique. The "ghque" did get me good. Maybe her.

The laughter being added to the runways a farce.

Glad to have Shannel being Shannel.

Edit: fuck seriously off at Jorgeous getting to lip sync.
 
I think it’s going to be a season of EVERYTHING IS WONDERFUL critiquing since there’s no real stakes in it for the Queens
 
I go back and forth on Shea but she's great here and looks incredible.
 
Really enjoyed those two episodes. What a great cast. Rooting for Roxxxy just because she’s so fucking ridiculous, but Angie was HILARIOUS in that first episode. “SNIP SNIP, BITCH” made me howl.

They were all good in the first episode and nice to see the second episode had some (vaguely) negative critiques. The top two were insanely good at that challenge- it’s absolutely ridiculous that Roxxxy made THAT paint outfit and didn’t feature. Shows just how high the standard really was.

Also here for the “meh” about Jorgeous. I almost feel sorry for her because it feels like a whole different league and I genuinely love everyone else.
 
Also, was it just me or was the “hilarious” Ross Mathews actually quite funny? I laughed at a couple of his lines in that first episode in particular.
 
I am just here for ROXXXY. I really hope she manages to win, even though her performance as a drag race competitor is often shakey.

Jorgeous is fine but there just isn’t any major star pull. Maybe it’s too soon?

Gottmik is great on the runway (aside from the white face which I’m bored of by now) but otherwise does very little for me.
 
Violet is why I'll never hate on Season 7. "Nina thought she was lip-sy...like...🧐" :D
 
I just had a community meeting on Zoom and shared my screen and everybody saw THIS thread on my tabs 🤦‍♂️

I absolutely disagree with this. It’s a clever way of not having to spend fuckloads of money on an outfit you might wear for just the judge’s line up and nothing more. It hasn’t been done before to my knowledge and so good for her not wasting money and resources in what has already become a “who has the most cash” shit show.

And fuck it, why not change into it every week? There could be a plot twist or something weird could happen- it has before.
 
You don’t have to change for the lip sync though, it’s an option but you can keep your runway look on. When queens do change it’s often into something a little more sporty to move around in, and rarely something bought specifically for the show.

It’s not allowed in the standard season but it’s absolutely become de rigeur for All Stars. No one lip syncs in their same outfit anymore and hasn’t done for ages. They’d get “CHEAP!” thrown at them by the online loons if they didn’t change.
 
You act like they come into the show owning no clothes! She’s been a drag queen for 20 years, I’m sure she has 8 outfits in the back of her closest suitable for TWIRLING!

This is Drag Race we're talking about, with the most toxic fans in the entire planet (well, bar Eurovision :D ). YOU act like no one on Reddit is going to read her to filth for recycling something they've got a photo of from a PA they did six months ago! :D

What hasn’t been done before? Showing up in a tear-away? :D

Every lipsync doesn’t have to be a reveal. The obvious tear-away ones are worse than having none at all. Give me something clever like Megami (vs Miyah Iman LaPage) any day!

No one’s tried to do what she’s done for the lip sync line up. Everyone who changes outfit does every show.

I’m not saying it’s massively groundbreaking bit I do think it’s a clever way of circumventing the ridiculous fashion show for no reason.
