We're going to run out of series' soon :(
 
Terrible judging apart from Lemon; she deserved that win. Jimbo should have been the clear second top, but I lost a bit of respect for her because of how she reacted to what poor Rita said.
 
Priyanka losing another lip sync but still surviving. I really don’t see what others see in her.

I wasn't hating her for it.
 
Poor Rita. She didn't deserve that onslaught.

Lemon is annoying but did well. Jimbo was clearly best in the challenge though.

Like Bobo a lot too, but that wasn't her challenge to win. Runway was wonderful though.

I want Priyanka to do well but she needs to work on that posture.

I’m glad Lemon won, she was by far the best. Jimbo was also good in the pageant but good god that dress was horrendous and her attitude (which we’ve seen glimpses of before) is very unlikeable. I felt bad for Rita who seems like genuinely nice person.

I don’t get Bobo, never got Bobo and her over inflated sense of being owed a win when she’s very much a middle of the road queen.

Priyanka is a great at lipsyncs. That’s the second memorable one of the season and they both involved her.

Are we so used to runways being ignored that we thought Jimbo should have been nearer the top? She was the winner of the challenge, absolutely by a mile, but was fucking awful on the runway. That was appalling. Rita was vice versa on that front too. For me, Lemon was the clear winner, with Bobo second and the right bottom two. Priyanka absolutely deserved to be saved but is out next unless her early promise can be rekindled- she’s been coasting the last few weeks. Shame as I do like her.
 
I actually loved this challenge? I’d love to see it incorporated into US seasons as a regular challenge. It’s like an extension of the Snatch Game idea but obv not bound to a specific celebrity.

None of them were unwatchable, but Priyanka’s was BY FAR the worst. She’s naturally really funny, I don’t get why she’s chosen two AWFUL CHARACTERS to play (or more accurately, chosen to play two characters awfully :eyes:) when she got the chance.

I thought Bobo missed a trick too by not literally MISUNDERSTANDING everything asked of her? Her name was MISS UNDERSTOOD, and would have been a really effective character to keep up.

Anyway Lemon and Jimbo were obviously best. I could see Jimbo’s being extended into some sort of YOUTUBE MINI SERIES!
 
It was a great challenge and it’s strange that they’ve never done it on the regular show.
 
Oh and in regards to the lipsync - I really love Priyanka’s style, although oddly it feels a bit BARE BONES on the show - you can imagine in a club space she would build further on her performance with some sort of prop or mad reveal. I can totally see why some people would dislike it though.

Illonna was fine but essentially just a standard pointer sister (to coin a season 4 phrase :D).

VERY SAD there’s a makeover challenge next week. I ALMOST ALWAYS HATE MAKEOVER WEEK!
 
I always think I hate makeover week but get surprised and enjoy it.

I think I just have bad memories of the seasons when they had to make over straight men because they always followed the same formula.

'Wow, I was uncomfortable coming in to this but ____ is actually a cool dude and I have so much more respect for drag queens man. Walking in heels is hard!'
 
When they get Makeover week right it’s GREAT - the one in season 7 where they brought back old queens is one of the best Drag Race episodes full stop, and the one in season 8 where they made over Little Women LA and Kim Chi did that weird dance with brooms, and Derrick went on about hems was equally special.

UNFORTUNATELY, most seem to follow your above example to the letter @Chlammy :D

I just caught up the last 2 episodes so I'll smush them together. It's quite hard to rank them now, half of them I like a lot but none are reliably gagworthy.

1) Priyanka - I like her so much, a great talking head, and more often than not she serves the runway (and the lipsync). Hopefully now the improv is out the way, she can keep going.

2) Rita - I like her attitude too, gives great side-eye and is totally unbothered by people coming for her (like Jimbo) - usually queens constantly talk about how unbothered they are while openly showing how personally they take stuff. 3 wins is a bit surprising all things considered, but I'm glad it's her getting them. This week's runway was gorgeous.

3) Lemon - Also really like her, even when more than a few runways have been total booger. I'm not finding her confidence annoying, and I think she still has it in her to win.

4) Jimbo - Everyone seems to be losing my mind for her but I'm not really there. Undoubtedly some of the best runways, but like Lemon also some total calamities (that paper queen...). I think she was robbed with the denim challenge though. I have found her attitude quite unappealing, firstly in the recycling challenge and definitely this week against Rita. She's in interesting queen, but I don't feel particularly warm towards her, especially now.

5) Bobo - It's a shame she hasn't won despite good performance - Brooke was right to say that it was mostly a product of circumstance and timing (a sentiment that didn't continue that long when they openly Jan-ed her). Getting tired of the "Nobody sees me" thing though, they made a special comment for her last week - did they specifically say "we see you"?, and even SHE said she felt seen at some point in the last 2 eps. Sort of a shitty attitude that often replaces creativity with noisy F-words.

Ilona had a good run, probably should've gone last week with that park-and-bark lip sync (that she did again this week). She's quite annoying in a way that's mostly down to mine and her ages, and seems like the lost Osbourne kid.

A shame BOA didn't make it through last week - I did have to laugh in that poignant lip sync song, she still sneaked a nipple out totally inappropriately :D

With those two gone, hopefully I won't have to see any more fucking glittery pasties
 
OH and this week felt a lot better with Brooke doing most of the legwork in the werkroom and even giving the challenge - I'm totally over JBC, that "use your time better" energy everyone hated just seems to be all the time now. Loved Manila & Latrice's podcast FINALLY doing something funny and calling him Santino Bowyer Chapman, that's TOTALLY the vibe. I just don't feel like he has the background that gives him the position to be quite so cunty in his judgements.

I accept what someone said in this or the last episode thread, the other two are being kind of horrid too, but not exclusively. There have been more than a few occasions of them listing how many things they don't like about an outfit. They don't seem to be able to judge outside the quite limited idea they have of the outfit.
 
This was clearly Lemon's week, so I'm glad she got the win. I was worried they'd give it to Scarlet and her one-note performance.

I lived for Jimbo calling out Jeffrey B-C, but her turning on Rita - who clearly was just trying to be constructive - left a sour taste. Rita's response was great though, she's so regal and unbothered. :disco:

Ilona grew on me this week. She takes critique really well and seems to generally have a good attitude despite being a bit of a loudmouth drama queen. Definitely the worst in the actual challenge though and it was her time to go.

1. Jimbo - but this was her worst week by far and she's on thin ice with that attitude

There were a couple of pointed cuts from Jimbo to Rita last week (and vice versa) which felt a little odd to me, even accepting that many felt Jimbo deserved the win over Rita. I guess they were setting this up as much as anything else.

I suppose Priyanka leaving next is most obvious on recent form, but we know she can deliver and it doesn't feel preordained at all like it did with Ilona this week. I think it's a really strong final five now. They all have solid strengths. The only one I'd say is a lock now for the final three is Rita.
 
I think a makeover challenge is probably going to be Lemon's undoing, despite her comeback this week.
 
I’d say Scarlet MUST be in danger now, she’s the only one without a win, and she’s now decided on the “nobody likes me” storyline now too.

OH! I forgot, I’m so over them questioning queens’ taste levels when JBC is there :D wtf is he wearing EVERY WEEK? Whoever is doing his eye makeup hates him (and seemingly wants him dead next week)
 
Jimbo vs Rita is such an unexpected storyline. You would have expected them to naturally be BEST FRIENDS going on previous Drag Race form of older queens flocking together.

You very much get the impression that Jimbo lives in her own little world, though. And doesn't she work in a circus usually, rather than in the drag scene?

Oh no at Jimbo laying into Rita...that was a full onslaught and really quite unpleasant even if her unrelenting verbal massacre of Rita's hair made me lol. It was like all the rage she'd understandably been hiding over Rita snatching a third win (HER win) last week came spewing out. Hoping this doesn't affect her performances or chances, although we knew from last week she was never going to take the crown in the end...

That was an amazing challenge though and I agree, I'm stunned they've never done it before. Lemon was probably best overall although I think her runway was only good because it embodied a character/5 year old rather than being any kind of step up for her, but it worked well so fair enough.

I don't think anyone tanked at all and at least Priyanka was different - I probably laughed at that more than Bobo who is all very efficient but leaves me cold every single time - and her fucking attitude! Assuming it's not a hatchet edit job. Fair enough be sad you haven't got a win but fuck off with the idea you should have one right now when I don't think she's been remotely robbed at all. Plenty of top tier queens (not you Bobo) didn't have a win by this point or at all. I mean there's only so many wins up for grabs, and 5 of the 7 are between two queens. Why not be grateful you've been praised most weeks, made the final 5 and actually have a real shot of knocking out one of the challenge winners next week? Of course hopefully she doesn't and just fucks off now. Priyanka may fluctuate but she's a 1000 times more likeable and charismatic.

I do worry for next week, they seem to be revealing more in the future clips than on the American version, but from the quick glimpse Jimbo didn't immediately scream disaster.

Of course if Bobo had said it I'd be calling for her to be shot. But Jimbo is a wonder of nature. Total hypocrisy and frankly what of it?
 
I got a vibe from Jimbo and Rita that it was slightly knowing and that it was more for the cameras rather than genuine animosity between them. But maybe I'm just too obsessed with Jimbo and will bend over backwards to excuse them.
 
Rita, Jimbo and Lemon would make an excellent top 3. I thought I was sure about wanting Jimbo to win, but after this episode I'm not entirely certain. I really really like Lemon and Rita too!
 
Was also a bit like Gaby Roslin's take on Gentlemen Prefer Blondes if she had ever done it on Children In Need (or Faghag's in need any other night of the week for her really).
 
I decided to catch up with this, purely based on the fact that I saw that clip of Jimbo screaming on the mountain and it was one of the funniest things ever to come out of this franchise.

I love Jimbo, Priyanka and Rita.

That Jeffrey one is an absolute cunt. Did he just Google ‘shit gay villain from 80s sitcom’ and model himself on the results?
