Well this was a lot of fun. It makes a world of difference when the judges are actually engaged (I loved Stacey McKenzie).

Good cast, Jimbo looking like IT’s long lost cousin was mesmerizing as were BoA’s weird potato titties.

I appreciated how much of a bitch Kyne was and the unwavering sour face during her critique. Juice Box was cute and probably should have stayed over Lemon but oh well.

Much better than I expected it would be.

The vibe of the show was very strange but once I got used to it it was really rather fun.
 
I expected to hate it, but it was fun!

Kyne is a cunt and should have gone. I wanted a double save tbh.

This looked super cheap and amateurish. Some of those queens looked like they barely could walk.

Brooklyn is so wooden but I think her seriousness is kind of working for me.
 
I mean it was fun to watch, but lets be honest - pretty much ALL the queens are a total mess :D I don't detect a star within the pack. They are all fourth-out at best on actual Drag Race :D

I HATED HATED HATED the guest judge taking the Ru-role on the runway? Just make Brooke Lynn or Stacey do it :D or have the three judges do it on a rotating basis.
Juice Boxx's outfit has to be one of the WORST I've ever seen. Up there with Baga Chipz' bronze SCRUBBER outfit.

Anyway, fun enough, nobody I'm stanning over aside from Canada's Next Top Model judge extraordinaire Stacey McKenzie :disco:
 
It was OKAY. Stacey is a complete queen, Brooklyn is a dullard and Jeffrey obviously a total fucking ride.

I thought Juice Box gave a better lip sync, for a trained dancer Lemon’s lip sync was incredibly pedestrian.
 
Jimbo looks like something you'd find on all 4s waiting for anyone, just anyone, to mount him in the back area of a fuck bar. He could be interesting :D
 
I don't know who this Canadian Whigfield is, but I think Brooke should have done that presenting segment seeing as it's the first episode.
 
Lemon has really disappointed me. He looked like he would have had the make up down a lot better going on his talking head anyway. I'm guessing they can get outside help for their entrances?
 
A promising bunch of queens I feel. Rough around the edges, sure, but they feel genuinely different to the US crop.

Something about the whole vibe just felt a bit stilted and off though.

Jeffrey's runway critiques felt way too mean spririted. Hopefully he course corrects.

Jimbo is instantly fascinating. What a complete freak! :D
 
Lemon didn't win that for me.

My cutie of the evening Jukebox had the best ponytail-ography since Dixie Kong. She's also the younger sister of Sonique right down to the freckles and bum chin (I have one of those myself so it's no diss). Oh well.

Jimbo and Rita were brilliant. Really liked Priyanka too.i’ve enjoyed Kyne’s MATHS stuff pre drag race so a bit disappointed with attitude here
 
I really enjoyed it. Overjoyed they kept Kyle- she’s going to be great entertainment- but amazed the hallowe’en costume one (Ilona?) wasn’t in the bottom- what was that basic pile of shite she was wearing?! Otherwise, seems a shame Juice went home but the right choice on the night.

As for the show, I think it feels odd because we’re so used to the status quo. I thought Jeffrey’s critiques were way too harsh and forced, especially when he clearly isn’t “the villain”. Brooke Lynn doesn’t work for me yet, but maybe she’ll bed in. She came across best when she was being more caring towards the queens.

I really liked the guest host and felt it’s a shame we won’t be seeing more of her. She felt like someone who comes on a guest judge who really knows their stuff.

Anyway, very much count me in.
 
I think the most fun thing for me is going to be all the obscure (to us) Canadian guest judges.

I'll be keeping my eye out for JANN ARDEN and AMANDA MARSHALL.
 
I'd be surprised if I find most of them significantly more obscure than their US counterparts.

Elisha Cuthbert isn’t exactly obscure, she was a regular on 24 and Happy Endings.
 
Elisha Cuthbert was always one of those people featuring in the FHM Sexy Lists, wasn't she? I certainly recognised the name, if not her face...
