RPDR UK S1 E6 (spoilers)

The Vivienne won on her outfit on the runway. Nothing more. I didn't laugh at all during her video. Humour is subjective though.

Baga's runways have been universally "a bit shit" for me. How she's getting away with "Oh it's just so BAGA" and the panel not reading her for the same shtick week in, week out, I don't know...

I like her and she's the funniest queen, though, so absolutely deserving to be where she is.

I think Baga's humour is just so distinctly British that a lot of non-Brits just don't GET it. I looked at the (spoiler-free) RPDR UK subreddit and she's not that popular with the American fans. I can see why - her outfits aren't that great, and her humour is pretty crass but I think the whole messiness works for her, from my perspective. For a lot of fans who are more used to the messy queens doing badly it doesn't sit right. But to me, Baga is the funniest queen in the competition by some distance.

This new aftershow Kalarissa Explains It All really has been a season highlight for me. Who needs Untucked?

OMG The Vivienne’s runway was one of the BEST EVER in my opinion (including USA).

Shakespears Sister Stay vid meets the old grandma tree from Pocahontas :disco:

That's the first episode I felt a bit MEH about, but probably only due to the last two being so strong. Thankfully the lipsync at least ended it on a high note.

Looking back over the whole series it feels a little off to me that Cheryl has outperformed Blu, but that lipsync was only going one way.

The very first thing I thought was Siobhan Fahey.

I thought the look was accomplished, I just didn't LIKE it that much, to be honest.

I worry that Divina went a bit too far in the "woe is me" direction this week, but maybe that's just the edit.

I presume they couldn’t get the rights to the original version of Call My Name?! :D

I never noticed on the show, but RuPaul mentioned the Wideboy mix on What's The Tee? I listened to the first couple of minutes and then fast forward through to Cheryl.

What was that mix?

Yep, as Sheena said, the Wideboys mix which doesn’t feature any of the amazing instrumental of the original. Although SCREAM at Cheryl reenacting her iconic Stand Up To Cancer performance.

The highlight for me was Viv’s ‘at least you met her before you went’ (or words to that effect) to Hole :D

I ROARED at the Kelly Peakman reference.

Crystal yet to declare. At least she has a decent chance of bringing it.

Compared to London! I probably worded it wrong, but it's harder in Belfast compared to some of the bigger cities. At least there was a Northern Irish queen - Scotland got paid dust! Even Wales got one in The Vivienne (technically)

Really glad Cheryl stayed. I thought she did better than Baga.

I don't think I've liked a queen as much as Cheryl for a while. There's so much charm to her. And a cute boy too!

Loving Cheryl Hole, she'll be in trouble next depending on the tasks

Was the Cheryl Cole and Michelle shade REAL? :D

Talented, pleasant and being a good sport equates to insufferable now?

Where you see pleasant I see an annoying, overly eager child spitting out catchphrases and getting off at being ”naughty”. It overshadows her other qualities for me.

I sort of see where RS is coming from. I found her posturing in the talking heads a bit off putting, but I'll just put it down to youthful exuberance dealing with well seasoned queens with a lot more experience. She's clearly very talented with a lot of potential. I'd like to see her on All Stars in a few years.

Well of course it’s due to her age and short experience etc, but knowing that doesn’t mean watching her becomes more enjoyable.

Blu has been winding me up more and more as the series has gone on. Whoever it was who said it's like she's playing out a rehearsal of what Drag Race will be like was bang on.

I do think she's all the things that Chlammy said and her proven herself to be much more of a well-rounded talent than I had given her credit for, but she has been overcompensating for not having the experience of the other queens and missing the mark.

I think some of Blu’s looks put her right up there with the best US fashion queens. Raja and Raven have generally been very complimentary on Fashion Photo Ruview.

I don’t love her lip sync style though, she’s a bit of a pointer sister. If she works on that and her acting chops, she has bags of potential though. All the ingredients are certainly there.

I didn't find Baga's ad funny either but what do I know I'm not British, eh? Either way it wasn't the worst and what should've actually landed her in the bottom two was that awful awful look. I really don't care if that's quintessential Baga, if you're unable to serve something different/decent at least for once, then that coupled to an average performance in the challenge is deserving of a bottom two placing.

Easily the best lipsync this season indeed, but only thanks to Cheryl really. Blu was just messy, can't say I'm going to miss her that much.

The Christopher-Maloney-Vivienne's seamless segueway into talking about her 3 dead friends and her Charlie and Greggs addiction was rougher than the states she's probably been found in on Canal Street at 5am. I love that a move to Ibiza was the answer (it was probably her who pushed Cilla's teeth onto the slabs by the pool). That inflamed, filled face, like a glazed angry donut, she's marvelous television.

So Cheryl survives again and she is still to bring anything remotely memorable to the show, at least Blu provided some interesting runways and a few laughs.
