It's the grand finale. The competition concludes in an all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza fight for the crown. Choreographer Claudimar Neto coaches the queens through their intense final challenge, while Michelle Visage, Alan Carr, Graham Norton and the eliminated queens return to witness RuPaul crown the UK's next Drag Race superstar.

It should be Cheddar, although I'm expecting it to be Danny, which would also be fine. I can see Cheddar really flopping at this final challenge sadly.

Think: Cheddar

I won't be too upset if Cheddar wins at all, as it wouldn't be undeserved. I just prefer Danny, but think that they're probably seen as too similar to The Vivienne, so they will go for the more leftfield choice.
 
I do think Danny deserves it - so many of the challenges have come easy to her, I feel like she’s maybe the most talented girl that has come out of the UK edition.

Danny's got this won. He's giving Ru ALL the "had trauma but I REALISED I'M GREAT I'M FINE NOW" he thirsts for EVERY SEASON
 
Deserved winner all in all but god, it feels like there's barely any point in the final lip sync most of the time given how transparently it gets IGNORED
 
Can we also take a minute to reflect what a shitty WOW tv series filmed in Hollywood starring Cheddar Gorgeous would be like ? I genuinely cannot get my head around the idea.

Probably would just be Cheddar walking up and down West Hollywood with uninterrupted talking head sound bites like "A STARBUCKS? HOW NOVEL?! If i had a buck for every star in the sky..hmm I would have many star bucks indeed! Yes very camp, very good me thinks!" etc :eyes:

Well Danny’s manager was very happy in the bar tonight. Do wonder why they weren’t with him though.

I genuinely thought Cheddar would win because the chances of getting them back for an AllStars must be quite slim whereas Danny is exactly the sort of queen you’d take another twelve servings of. Not mad about either though.

Also, I’ve gone from hatred to indifference for Jonbers in two episodes so that’s quite the trajectory, one more and they might’ve been my winner.
 
I would go as far to say the song choice favoured Cheddar. Neither of them pulled anything out the bag for it performance-wise (I liked both looks, but neither came to life for the song - Cheddar's veins reveal was like an old lady getting out of her swimming costume). I mean, given Graham was there, History Repeating would have been an obvious choice, but whenever I think of Bassey cuts I'd want to listen to I can only ever think of Rhythm Divine. Perhaps even because it's the final, they should let both queens get their own choices and give 90 seconds for each (it's like the producers weren't even paying attention to Kalavision II: Got Any Speed? edition).

I had the photograph segment on mute and Ru's disinterest is even more obvious. I think Ru almost even cut one of them off later on in the show too.
 
Well the excitement around this final was positively INFECTIOUS wasn't it? :D :eyes:

I'm genuinely quite surprised they didn't just give it to Cheddar to close that chapter. Icon, legend, huge drag talent...but truly a terrible reality TV contestant. I hope they don't come back for an All Stars season, and just carry forward basking in CREATIVE DIGNITY (sort of similar to what Sasha Valour does). I could see an All Starts run being a relative disaster if they did bite.

By contrast, Danny would be an obvious ask for an All Stars season, and would probably show even more growth if asked. Deserved win however, and maybe Ru just has a TYPE.

Speaking of TYPE, interested to see how Danny is received post-Drag Race. They are literally The Vivienne and Lawrence Chaney blended together, and is clearly going to start encroaching on both of their bookings (Lawrence in particular seems to have finally found their lane booked on every light entertainment TV show going) so I could possibly foresee tension in the future as a result. I'm just not sure if the UK mainstream is really big enough for all three.

I need a gif of Starlet's slow motion death drop in the About You Now lipsync. Moment and queen of the SEASON :disco:
