WHAT AN EPISODE :disco:

The challenge itself was just OK - I think Danny was the right winner, and that whole trio was clearly streets ahead.

I'm was so pleased Le Fil got a pass, she seemed like an obvious sacrificial lamb but she *was* better than Baby and Sminty who both really flatlined, and her runway was really cool.

And Thank God she was saved because THAT LIP SYNC! One for the ages, surely. You can tell it's a classic when they pretty much play the song in full.

And Sminty's exit! I was actually dying :D Best exit since Jimbo, and between that and her incredible runway presentation, she's surely guaranteed to be back in some form in the future.
 
Sminty's exit absolutely THE best exit in the show's history. I BURST.

My favorites are Dakota and Cheddar. LOVE both to bits. Dakota seems like the sweetest person ever.
 
To be honest, I would have prefered Sminty to stay over baby. Definitely one of the most interesting queens this season.
 
Nice episode and I agree with everything mentioned above.

Just mostly want to say how much attracted I am to Danny Beard. He gets more charming for each episode.
 
Fun episode, great lip sync. How has it taken this long to get to Mel & Kim? Thoroughly enjoyed the panel living their life to Respectable…

I love this season. What a cast.

I have laminated my Dakota stan card. She reminds me of one of my cis-female cousins. What a doll.

Sminty was fun, but I was willing to lose her, because we need a Baby "Bad Boys" lip.
 
OK I wasn't going to bump all the episode threads as I catch up with this season - TBH season 3 was a bit of a comedown, so I wasn't in a rush to keep on top of this. BUT I have enjoyed this season so far, and that's without any particular queen I've loved. I think my fave so far is probably... Dakota? Black Pepper also is really watchable. I guess you may be reading this in the knowledge that they've both already gone out but please don't tell me.

And FINALLY they've got someone with half a brain playlisting the lipsyncs - the DRUK choices have been really crap until now, so I'm very pleased in this season.

Eliminees - The Geri one (May it Be? :enya: something like that) seemed to be permanently ugly-crying when she had her makeup on. Starlet was possibly the least likeable queen I've ever seen on Drag Race (and I watched Miss Fiercealicious), poor Copper Top was thrown under the bus (meh) - and do people really call people fags in this country?. And THANK FUCK Sminty is out, just really got on my tits, a mess with an expensive wardrobe, laughing at all her own tedious dragisms that don't make sense half the time, and a product of modern social media - if you're young and skinny you can get pretty far, and being moody and chaotic is a badge of honour. GOOD RIDDANCE (the twerking was funny though)
 
I would say that DRUK sometimes gets a bit stale because it feels like UK queens only have about 3 voice types - Americanised fierce, end-of-the-pier camp, and am-dram Ooh Matron

I mean I don’t want to deny his trauma but did they call him a poof or a queer but those wouldn’t work with the dress concept? (I might argue that Fagulous didn’t really either)
 
I still think she should've got a little stick-on B to put over the G, awkward as it might have been!
 
Also it was what, 20 YEARS AGO? Not that I’m denying trauma can affect you for many years, I’m sure I’ll be waking up in a cold sweat decades down the line thinking about this.

The other problems of course being the rest of the outfit, her wig, her make-up and everything else, but it might have helped slightly!
 
The whole outfit would’ve been greatly improved with a glug of petrol and a lit match.

Help me out, who did the handbag letters thing before on drag race? I think Sasha Velour did, and someone else in an episode 1 fashion show mini challenge?
 
I didn’t think Copper’s sewing challenge one was that bad either but something about the makeup kept reminding me of Gillian McKeith :o

I can confirm growing up ten miles away from him in Gloucester and one year older. The insult of choice was plain old GAY

if you’re going to use the runway to reclaim your trauma, at least use your actual trauma
