RuPaul's Drag Race: Season 18

Jane showed her weakness is lip syncing but I guess it doesn't matter in the final lip sync as it never really does (assuming she reaches the final 2, I think she's pretty locked on unless something goes tits up).
 
It's probably gonna be Jane, Juicy, Nini and Mia for Top 4? Definitely better than Season 17, but nowhere near as exciting as Season 16.

I love Myki. The bitch is so cunty, but going unnoticed. That last episode placement was criminal. I'm tired of Rate A Queen. Not even because of the forced drama, but just cuz the queens always resort to tired alliance chat (@straightorbroken 's favorite).
 
Athena was really annoying in the beginning of the episode.

Totally drunk on Athena and her jurassic drag delusion. Definitely my favourite to watch.

I liked a lot of the girl's performances, but for me that was definitely a consolation win after last week's rigged results even if it was one of the ones that got better and better as it went on.

Can't argue with the bottom 2. I didn't want to lose Vita yet though.
 
Myki is such a sweetheart. Loved her victory, although her runway needed more definition because I couldn't tell it was a pantsuit AT ALL. It was really nice seeing Darlene and Discord shine in this episode.

The lip sync was strange. Houdini is a banger, so why the hell was DVS just WALKING around the stage when she's capable of so much more?
Juicy's runway was GORGEOUS (apart from the pleaser heels). It almost feels like a waste on her.
 
Myki was giving me 1980s Madonna and 2010s Madonna at the same time on that runway :disco:

ASTONISHED at how much Vita just gave up in that lip sync - I'd had her pegged for the win from the first couple of eps. Very intelligent lip sync from Juicy Love Dion though - such an excellent physical pairing with the nuances of the track and its production.
 
The editing of this episode was so weird!

Also they way that safe and bottom girls were announced?
 
Now I know the bar has been LOW in recent seasons, but there were at least 3 really good snatch game characters in that episode. Jane or Myki deserved the win for me, but production was clearly trying to even the wins out a bit more, not that Nini was bad at all.

No surprises with the bottoms, but the winner of that lip sync definitely didn't win the lip sync. I guess she brings slightly more to the season in terms of personality, but I still think it should have been her time to sashay.

I would have put Discord third or fourth but mainly because I dont like it when they dont do a pop culture celeb or real person. Objectively she was good, and there were jokes. But agree talk about handing producers the Jan/Lucy Laduca edit.
 
Nene looked like David Bowie's freeze dried corpse in that Snatch Game.

And yeah, Kenya winning that lip sync was pure storyline. I know we'd probably seen all we were gonna see from Mia Starr, but Kenya... really isn't giving us much sense we haven't seen all she's capable of. Those runways every week are unforgivable at this point!
 
Wow I was shocked that Kenya was saved when Mia definitely won that lip sync, I assumed it was going to be a double save!

This season has not gone the way I had first thought, I had Mia and Vida as potential finalists and Myki and Discord as early outs.
 
Should've been a double elimination. The lip-sync was rubbish and both of them became boring. Kenya should've gone AT LEAST two episodes ago. I don't find her funny at all and I doubt she has anything else to offer the competition.

Jane should've won over Nini. And they did Discord dirty.
 
Juicy really fucked herself over by not breaking down and trauma dumping when Rupaul asked "like who even are you?!".
 
The best part of the challenge was Myki rolling her eyes at Kenya and going "Sure Lizzo" lol
 
A not so terrible Snatch Game for a change! Though the judging is still awful. Jan was good but could have easily been safe, while Discord should have been a top.
 
Damn, that was a good episode. The only rubbish part was that awful lip-sync song.

Jane is incredible. I think she might be the closest thing to Jinkx the show has seen since?
 
Decent enough Rusical (and yes Ru, as you kept saying, everyone was of a really high standard) and an excellent runway, some really excellent looks tonight. But how predictable that Athena and Juicy would have to lip sync against each other at some point! And how predictable that it was in an episode where they opened up about their closeness (ditto: Jane saying “I can feel my second win slipping away from me!”)

My god, Plasma was hard work on Pit Stop. Talk about trying too hard…
 
Oh the cut-to's of Michelle and Ru looking stony faced at both Juicey and Athena made it grimly inevitable. I'd say the two mopper cheerleader type duo were ripe for bottoming too, with Athena being safe (just). Jane Don't isn't much fun despite being super talented. I hope she wins so we can get more Myki who I think is subtly extremely talented (the next time I saw an actual clip of Drew it made me love that snatch performance even more than I thought I already did).
 
Either way, I’m kind of relieved we got THAT lipsync out of the way and earlier than I thought.
 
Anyone following Naomi's coverage of this season's runway? She's so fucking gorgeous. I could watch her do anything.
