Watching Alyssa die on stage at the roast is one of the funniest things on the show ever. A mixture of fabulous and cringe, which are one and the same thing with Alyssa.

Re-watching the Alyssa-Roxxxy lip-sync it's so apparent from stopping it to get the frames edited for my montage that all Roxxxy did was just stand there man-legs akimbo, with that ghastly tuck, and whipping her wig around to the point where I don't get how afterwards she had the attitude that she somehow slayed Alyssa, when I genuinely think it was the other way around. What a festered tampon that fat slab of spray-tanned flab is.

I think asking Alyssa to be knowing about how to put her elements together, whilst correct, also misses the point. Her perfume advert was actually quite funny with a lot of potential - how can they get Detox's joke, but not see the obvious "secret" about a man in woman's clothes (as IF it's a secret, etc). They should have grasped that and told Alyssa to make THAT more clear than just "oh what is this secret?" feedback.

Every woman has a SECRET. MINE just happens to be a little BIGGER.

It was obvious she wasn't going to stay any longer in the competition but I'm glad Coco's gone. Stupid bitter bitch.

I fear for Detox, it's been a few weeks that she hasn't been on top of her game.

Eh? Detox WON two weeks ago and she was still in the top half last week. She did really well this week considering the vet she got put with. I don't think any of the other queens would have done so well with him.

Detox didn't win the perfume challenge two weeks ago, although it was a good performance. But apart from that she's been just safe since her first lipsynch (she was definitely not in the top half for the telenovela challenge)

I don't know if it's true or not, but I heard (saw) rumors that Alyssa would get her own Dance Spin-off.
 
Excellent news about the spin-off for Alyssa (I see Ru confirmed he is executive producer on twitter).

I agree that Detox has been a bit cold turkey the past few weeks - she had a shaky turn on the roast (where she really should have nailed it as she's the most acerbic and naturally sarcastic), the perfume advert was more like it, but the last catwalk ensemble left a lot to be desired (compared to her 'best asset' ensemble, which could very well be my favourite look of the season).

Just so long as Roxxy doesn't win. Alaska my dear you're not in the race either I'm afraid, but catwalk aside has been extremely consistent and Red for filth was hilarious. I'm most looking forward to the reunion show - I hope Jade gets booed, and there are massive groans when she tries to laugh at every opportunity.
 
I've said it before but Detox has been a let down, she's a second rate Raven and apart from a few interesting outfits you could almost forget she's there.

Oh dear. I've yet to see it, but was looking to see how their twitter followers numbers compared and saw at a glance that Roxxxy was shocked at how much of a bitch she was and suggested that the producers are editing Jinkx's sleeping-spasms out of context (well, go figure).
 
I cannot fucking STAND Roxxxy. What a VILE CUNT she is. Her FACE when Detox went home over Jinkx :D

If she wins I will be MIGHTILY pissed. Sure she's had a few good weeks but she's also been SHITE on more than one occasion.

Alaska was great this week, I loved all three of her looks. Poor Jinkx, this was NOT her week, but the sewing challenge had to come at some point. She STOMPED all over Detox during the lipsync though, I don't think she could have asked for a better song.

As for a winner? It's close, my heart says Jinkx, but she might be too kooky to win. Alaska isn't anywhere near as good as Sharon, and as for Roxxxy, she is fucking LUCKY she is still there after a few narrow escapes. So all three have things going against them. I think this is going to go DOWN to the WIRE. I'll be happy just as long as Roxxxy doesn't won. My LEAST favourite contestant as long as I can remember.
 
First of all, Jinkx and Detox in the lip-sync - why could they not have at least been in their business women special outfits? Seeing my two favourite bitches (at this point) go down like this looking like that is not filling me with much hope.

Jinkx needed to go further more than Detox does, purely because she has been more of an individual throughout, has demonstrated resourcefulness, wit and resolution to make it through, and it's been to Detox's detriment to soften her edge as time has went on. The song choice was awful - I'm glad that it served victory to Jinkx on a platter, but this kind of song is not Drag Race material, and made it much less tooth and fake-nail than what is required here that usually makes it such a great way to climax the episode. It completely played to Jinkx's strengths, which got the correct result, but Detox went out on a downer.

Alaska is just as funny as Sharon (the puppets had my jaw stinging with laughter), and I don't think she's got the capacity to have a case of the Lady Gaga's that Sharon does as it quickly turned out. But yes, the aesthetic is nowhere near as sharp in the same American Gothic/Leaving Las Vegas disturbia.

Roxxxy mistakes being bitchy for being funny, and if the winner is a public vote then she has no chance. She's to Shannel what Alaska is to season 1's Shannel. Some of her looks have been great, and despite the roast and perfume ads, has been consistent if never properly impressive performance wise. In terms of catwalk, she's looked really good about 70% of the time, but has never had a properly scene-stealing moment. The under-wig and bust-bursting reveal were striking, so maybe she could have more to offer. She's just a classic Drag Race villain, but has stepped over the line into being a toxic cunt far too many times.

did i say all the things on last nights episode YES! I am a pageant girl who is NOT new to competition. IT CAN GET VERY UGLY! We were so stressed and i let every little thing bother me and needed t...o shut the hell up. Im not going to make EXCUSES! the things i said and did WERE on the verge of BULLYING and just plain out HORRIBLE. Jinkx was my BIGGEST competition and scared the SHIT out of ME and it kills me that i would have done her the way i did. NO ONE DESERVES THAT! im NOT looking for sympathy nor anyone to feel bad for me. for the people who know me and have met me know exactly how against that i am and how much i go out of my way for people. i am a true believer of actions speak louder than words. Jinkx is an amazing person inside and out and is the exact opposite of me but JUST AS GOOD BABY! she was someone i never saw as a threat from as close minded as i was back then and ended up my BIGGEST competition! In life we learn a lot of lessons through experiences and i learned so much! we all have growing up to do and make MANY mistakes. some of mine just happen to be on national television. if i lost you as a fan i APOLOGIZE FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! for i would have lost MYSELF as a fan from watching that last night. But i will do whatever it takes to prove to u all that im NOT that person! We all make mistakes.
SO LET ME ANSWER ALL THE PEOPLES QUESTIONS….
Am i blaming editing? NO because i had to say those things at some point… BUT, they Can put it anywhere they want in the show. regardless of what episode i actually said it in.
am i ashamed of my actions? ABSOLUTELY!

Public vote ya'll....but she looked good on the runway to give her her due. She's Phix2 levels of vile and that's saying something, she and Coco should get together.

Untucked for the first time in a while was worthwhile with more Roxxxy cuntiness and that Jinks/Detox throw down was the shit. Alaska looked good in that executive suit, it has to be either her or Jinkx.

Does anyone know the song they're using for a video this year?

Ah I see. If there was a public vote I think Jinkx would WALK it.

From their Twitters it seems that Alaska has dumped the others from Rolaskatox and has been working a lot with Jinkx. It makes sense, I think they make a good team. I'll be happy if either of them win. If Roxxxy wins, RU is DEAD to ME.

Having seen Untucked, Detox came off terrible. Writing rolaskatox, or whatever it is, on the mirror was just pathetic. They seemed to all share an emotional moment, so I don't quite know how to interpret it all. The crowd reaction to the villains is going to be interesting on the reunion/finale.
 
As much as I hate to admit it, Roxxxy turned it OUT on the runway this week (except for the teenager look which was a bit shit), I still hate her though, apology or not she's such a vile queen.

The lipsynch was really good, and even though Detox is SO capable of doing camp, that song was just everything Jinkx could hope for and more. The past seasons seem to have a LOT more sewing challenges in them, and the final has pretty much always had a sewing challenge in it (right?), I hope this doesn't mean it's going to give Roxxxy the advantage. I'm fine with Alaska or Jinkx winning, but truth be told Alaska is a second-rate Sharon and Jinkx needs SO MUCH polishing to look like a true winner. In a nutshell, the queens just weren't that good this season.

Yeah there haven't been many sewing challenges - but to be fair, in the real world, being a drag queen is ALL about getting on stage and performing - it doesn't matter if you have made the costume from scratch yourself or if someone else has, the audience don't care.

I just watched Untucked. Roxxxy was so VILE it's unreal. She totally feels threatened by Jinkx which is why she is gunning for her. Kudos to Jinkx for never rising to the occasion. I had to LAUGH when I looked at the Twitter follower numbers of the top 4 - they all have the same, around 23-25,000 apart from Roxxxy who has HALF that. :basil: Roxxxy is SUCH a stereotypical Drag Queen - she brings NOTHING new to the table. Seen it ALL before a hundred times better.
 
But she is polished. Jinkx is a mess :(

I don't have anyone I really root for in the final. Alyssa already won :disco:
 
Maybe Ru will need to re-evaluate how he critques the queens as it's rather amusing that the contestant finishing 6th has obviously struck a chord with people and is poised to be the most successful.

Also, is Drag U worth fishing out to watch? It might tide me over if it's any good.
 
It's kind of shit but try an episode for the sake of it. Also it's hard to find online, I've only been able to find a few.
 
BTW I watched a part of the elimination lunch (Michelle Visage, the eliminated queen and Mimi Imfurst). Michelle was asked which elimination she did not agree on. She said Alyssa should have stayed!

Edit: We all four have Alyssa as our profile pic! haha

I've watched most of them. Indeed, it's not essential, I only like the ones where I like the mentors and even those don't compare to the Race or even Untucked.

Alyssa totally deserved to be in the bottom two on at least one occasion she was there though. Yes she is a fabulous dancer but she was awful in the telenovela challenge. When she was good she was fantastic, but when she was shit she was awful - "can I get a gay man?" :D

One plus point about Alyssa though is that she knows her own faults, some of those queens are so delirious.

P.S, I've stuck with this avatar, but it's obvious where my heart lies. I'll go with something Alyssa-related when her show airs, or she's in the next Allstars cast.

Nail on the head there Roxxxy... (Though Roxxxy blatantly deserved the win this week over Alaska. I thought Alaska's lack of colour in her runway dresses was pretty poor.)

I will be shocked if anyone other than Jinxx wins now that she has knocked out her biggest competition.

Love Michelle's take on Rolaskatox. Her face when they had their little Rolaskatox moment at the end was too much (and is going to be my avatar :D ) - she seems to have come round to Jinxx by default. Even though she hated all her looks this week :D
 
I definitely think Alaska deserved the win over Roxxxy this week. Roxxxy is good but she is a textbook drag queen - there are hundreds of Roxxxys all over the US. Jinkx and Alaska at least bring something different.

According to the synopsis next week is the final competition show but the week after is the recap, followed by the reunion show, but it says that in the reunion show both Miss Congeniality and America's Next Drag Superstar will be crowned - do they usually wait to the reunion show to announce the winner?

I would love for them to do an International version of the show, with drag queens from around the world - even as show in the autumn like with All Stars, I think it would be really interesting!
