Did anyone watch the first episode?

I was very sceptical about the series, and dropping it mid series 12 seemed like it was a sure fire shit show however i found it to be utterly sweet and charming. It was much better than it had any right to be.

I was kind of expecting it to be like a masked singer format (and i wonder if it could actually work like that if it had actual "famous" people)

Ok, so we aren't getting A List celebs but all 3 were great. It was great to see the returnees as mentors.

All 3 were pretty decent in their own way .. but That winner! :disco::horny:
 
It has emerged that the mentor queens didn't do the make-up of the celebrities - they were painted by Laila McQueen, Mayhem Miller and Shannel, who were credited (under their male names) as consultants - which makes me wonder what the point of having Trixie etc actually WAS apart from the obvious ratings draw :D

As for the episode, my only thought was that Nico was absolutely EXHAUSTING to watch. Imagine them on a regular season :zombie:

I tried watching the Snatch Game bit but it was very unfunny. No wonder they’re burning it at 11 pm.

Once you know Shannel did Nico's face it's SO obvious, and stunning of course :disco:
 
So the "secret" is that they're not actually famous?

Just saw Shannel looking her most svelte since season 1 in a 3 minute clip, but I'll have to hunt down Rula's post history for the hot links.

It looks wonky as hell.
 
I used to fancy Nico something rotten. But after watching this....yikes. What a handful. Aren't they engaged to a woman? I wonder how the thirsty bottom thing works for them.
 
I don't understand why they would actively CHOOSE to sideline queens :D (especially as Mayhem and Shannel are two all-time personal faves)

Do WoW not understand DRAG QUEENS are the reason people watch this show, not z-list celebrity contestants/judges :D
Even thinking back to Drag U (which this tat is essentially a re-port of), the only footage worth keeping from its entire THREE SEASONS is the exchange where Juju steals Raven's ring :D
 
WoW probably pays by the hour and the Celebs probably did all of this in one afternoon so whilst Bob, Trixie and Monet were doing their own make up, reflections and ‘confessionals’ the other queens were doing the actual makeovers

Shannel has said though, that all the edited-out queens were there in full drag. Making the decision to cut them out all the more baffling.
 
Enjoying episode 2 a lot more so far! Having a celebrity I actually know seems to be helping :D
 
This is on UK Netflix btw, which I completely didn't realise until this morning :o
 
I thought Episode 1 was lovely personally. We got slightly different sob stories to the usual because of the two straight guys and it was lovely to see them embrace the culture and didn't feel patronising either. The early bits were hysterically funny to me when they were getting themselves into quick drag and the three mentors one-liners at that point were spot on.
Really pleased with the winner of that episode. Nico was driving me crazy and also felt like they had such a huge head start on the other 2
 
Yep, count me in as a surprised fan- of episode one at least. No idea who any of them are but it was a fun episode
 
Yeah I had no idea who they were either though I think I recognised visually the winner at least from promo shots of Riverdale.
 
Vanessa Williams so wasn’t the winner of episode 2, but I think her status and, more importantly, her charity saw her through. Long Love’s lip sync was much better.
 
I know! I had no idea until it came up as a suggestion at the end of Drag Race proper yesterday :o
 
Well omg, I had no idea this was actually on Netflix (I assumed it was some down-graded wow subscription suck a flaccid cock at folsom for 4 free episodes affair). 2 episodes already up, so I guess I won't be bingeing through Hollywood this evening/morning after all.

The chemistry between Monet and Bob really shows. Still not sure I'd like their podcast though, but they are great on tv for this.
 
Jermaine just needs a wonky eye and he could have done that Kandi woman with the "don't think I'm not" song (I'm sure she's a terrible Housewife as well).
 
Nico looked like Traci Lords making a belated comeback attempt at whatever porn Oscars awards red carpet there is.
 
I wonder what Shannel thought of Lucille. She has an absurd shrine dedicated to her and her All Stars turn was rather unfairly dismissed.
 
Okay so Jordan who is not the non binary one is giving me too much Farrah Moan to enjoy looking at him.

I assume it's a different set each week (I catch on quick).

This was fine, but I have to stop at 1 episode in 1 sitting.
 
Dolly is looking very good. A bit like Cher, she seems to have let things settle down even if just a little.
