S12 E01: I'm that bitch

I loved this episode. Possibly my favourite opening episode since Bianca's saison (fittingly as that was when they used the double premiere the first time!)
 
Just re-watched that lip-sync. Widow is so desperate, and yet if she'd let more air in it would have been an unequivocal victory for me. I just found Goode continuing whilst all the scappy stunts were going on the more compelling performance to watch. Widow did kill it in the rap though.
 
Let’s not forget they showed the whole song; an edit would have made both look better.
 
Not a fan of Widow either. The looks weren't doing it for me and the lipsync bordered on messy at times. Gigi was easier on the eye and was actually funny while still slaying every word of the rap.
 
only halfway through the episode but really liking the first batch of girls.

Anytime the camera was on Window she was chucking herself one way or another. If anything, showing the whole song was one of the better things this episode did.

Anyway, I thought the tall dwarfism French guy did amazing in that verse, so I'm a little surprised they went all in with the awkward angle during the critiques.

And if they really must split them into 2 groups (I doubt we'll get another "you guys look good" squaring off scene, which is one of the all time greats as it was about 4 amazing lines among them in a row), I'd much prefer getting 2 episodes at once. Some of us haven't any interest in watching meet the queens uploads these days.
 
great first episode, loved all of it (except the barefoot lipsynching :hitler: ) and the queens seem quite solid. heidi is the weakest link in terms of actual drag but she seems to make up for it in entertainment value. she's very reminiscent of chi chi.

minaj was a great guest judge and karson (sp?) was a lot of fun too.

love niki rolling her eyes at americans every chance she gets, love gigi in everything (her lipsynch was really fun and her work room outfit was giving me rgb life), britta and widow seem lovely, really enjoying jackie and crystal in and out of drag. just yes.

oh and what lovely teeth (almost) all of them have this time around.
 
Brita is also quite cute out of drag.
 
A much stronger start than I was anticipating. They went IN on the challenges :disco: No holding back.

Love Heidi.

I want the French queen to stick around for a little longer.

Not a huge fan of Jackie so far, but can see her going very far.

my favourite brita moment was "i need to stay so i can represent new york" when she's not even the only one from nyc on this season of the show :D

i thought her runway was the poorest but her fall look was pretty good.
 
Ru is looking ultra slim this time. I wonder if this was close to AJ filming and he had been working out for it.

Brita is quite a dish. I don't think I've had a Latino Dad bod pocket gay top yet, but I want one now.
 
Window is just so Patti LaBelle, even down to the runway with the sci-fi disco ensemble.

I was really hoping Nicki would have said something to prompt one of the undercover Lambs on stage to say "I thought you rapped or whatever".

Crystal was giving me Tan Mom meets Thorgy.

I'm currently watching this again obviously.
 
This first group of queens was fantastic, I loved them all. Totally obsessed with Heidi N Closet, her entrance! :D And her face when Ru said she was safe, she almost fainted :D :disco:
 
Such a good idea to split them. 13/14 queens in one episode with one leaving has always been terrible. It takes too long to get to know their names never mind what they're like, it's exhausting.

Wasn't in the mood for this at all but once it started I was hooked all over again and yeah, a really strong episode with so far no one less than half decent and likable!

Loving Jackie so far. I'd probably need a rewatch but she struck me as the funniest and I like her style. Brita does seem in danger of being basic but she's nice enough.

Lip sync was super strong, yeah we've seen it all before but that's to be expected all these years in. And Nicki was amazing, if slightly bemused looking at times. Michelle's scowl when she disagreed with her on Brita's rap :D
 
What a genuinely brilliant launch episode. One of the best EVER.
 
I'm really excited to see how the other girls are gonna do.

They obviously do better in smaller groups. There's more room and airtime for them.
 
I just hope they are all shit in the other group, so we have 7 more weeks of Heidi N Closet :disco:
 
Put her in a lip sync with Widow at some point - I want to see Von'Do in an even more severe panic mode than we've already witnessed :disco:
 
I thought going all out during the lip sync fitted the song perfectly. I don’t think it was messy in say a Silky way.
 
Why is Untucked not on Netflix? I really don't want to have to watch it on my phone where one false click and I'm watching Olga tell me I won't make it past 30 seconds without blowing my load.
 
I recommend wow+, it has everything and it’s really cheap.
 
I really hope the next bunch aren't as likeable, because I'm just not ready for any of the first seven to be going home anytime soon.

Gigi Goode I wasn't the biggest fan of, but i still don't want her to go home yet because her Mum has made her a whole season of outfits :(
 
Untucked is going to appear on UK Netflix at the very end of the season as a set, how stupid is that? Although I do like the idea of watching it all in one go if I can restrain myself.
 
I can't imagine ever having a binge on Untucked. I suppose it's fair enough for those who discover the whole season after the event, but useless for those watching along. I wonder why they can't do it week by week?
 
I barely watch them at all. It's really hard to to overlook the forced editing and they're mostly really corny.
 
I don’t think Untucked is available anywhere here despite the old seasons being available on all streaming services, they must be making a shit ton of money selling it to amazon, Netflix and Crave (our HBO).
