This was not a bad Rusical but the judging was laughable even if it gave us this amazing moment

Tbh Jan was good but not amazing but Gigi didn’t feel like a deserving winner for this one. Especially since her look was based on a sketch and not an actual picture of Michelle. I would have given it to Crystal just to spread the wealth a little since the we have 3 Gigi wins, 2 Sherry Pie and 1 Jaida and Widow.

I thought Jaida and Widow were the best Madonnas but Widow’s runway was bad.
 
Also out of all the Madonna songs, this was a boring choice for a lipsync. They’ve done Music before so they can afford to get something better.

I’m sorry but she was breathtaking in the rusical and that runway looks was stunning.

I thought that was a great performance, they were all good, but Jan getting the Shannel treatment was another highlight. She wasn’t even second best.

I do get the critique that Heidi got; her dancing was so impressive, but she was dead behind the eyes. Same thing in the lip sync, I almost thought Brita won it.

What are you talking about? That was a great lip sync song, but it needed more energy from Heidi.
 
Gigi was phenomenalll.

I get the storyline potential of not having Jan win, but Gigi deserved it regardless. That performance was everything.

Loved Crystal and thought her part was hilarious but thought Jaida deserved to be up there too.

It's difficult because they really are all good. I mean, compare this to the Cher one when it felt like about five of them should have been in the bottom.

Thought this was a great episode and, yes, they were all good- surprised Ru didn't say that as she has done already this season.

I don't think Heidi deserved bottom two over Jackie to be honest, who I felt was the weakest overall in the Rusical. She definitely deserved to stay over Brita, though as she had the much better lip-sync. Shame that Brita seemed more human this episode now Aiden had gone. Gigi was incredible in the Rusical too- definitely the winner and especially when you saw how she started in the recording studio! I do think Jan was second, though.

Oh and OMG at leaving Sherry's "I apologise for anyone I've hurt" line in :D. Actually, did we get the Sherry disclaimer at the start? I don't remember it. I also wondered if they cut some of her Madonna performance- it seemed shorter than the others or maybe I'm just making that up.
 
Burning Up is a great lip-sync song as well, but neither of them really took up the challenge. It's got so much potential in those lyrics- "I'm not the same, I have no shame, I'm on FIRE!", "Do you wanna see me down on my knees or bending over backwards now would you be pleased?", "Don't put me off, cause I'm on fire" etc. etc. Annoying because both are good lip-syncers but it just didn't hit the sweet spot.

Oh God, Untucked makes the Jan moment even WORSE. She was SO convinced she had it! :D

I thought Sherry’s part was shorter too, it must have been cut. And as good as she’s been, by now I think it’s time for Michelle to step in and tell her that we want to see something different from her. So far she’s been perfect at this funny old lady/villain realness, but for being a future finalist we need to see something else.

My favourite Sherry part was however that, after all the appologizing to Widow, asking her how it felt to just be safe in a dance challenge. :D
 
Gigi just won the season, go home girls you're not needed anymore! Wow :disco:

I’m sure she will! Most probably Crystal and then maybe Widow leaving next.

I've seen people theorise that they only cut it last week because of the Frozen tie-in stuff, as they wouldn't want to take any risks with Disney and their legal department watching :o
 
so many moments this episode. i'm not even done with the lipsynch yet but i can't take standing by quietly anymore after seeing jan pulling at her little cabin bag after not winning.

i really really like her as a boy now but there's just something missing. style perhaps.

loved gigi in the challenge, she is absolutely steamrolling them now.

i also loved sherrie in the challenge (and her michelle visage choreo had me laughing out loud) and i really liked jaida for the first time. surprised crystal made the top but she did make me smile.

the widow and britta as hateful as ever.
 
oh and heidi really is quite wonderful. make-up and fashion still shit though :(

anyway, good episode although i really miss mini-challenges now):

aoc looked stunning and she came prepared.

i'm a bit surprised they gave gigi another win but good for her. also, i thought jackie did the worst (and that outfit!) but i'm glad she stayed.

more than anything else, i LIVED for the previews of next week, with Jan claiming that she hasn't cried despite not winning SPLICED with images of her SOBBING

I like Widow, you need someone with some attitude. Her runways can be hit and miss but she’s definitely needed.

OMG that is fabulous. Love the 90’s Madonna with the NY/NJ accent.
 
What's more, I'm weary because now that Brita is gone and Sherrie is AWOL she'll inevitably be getting the bulk of the death threats from the racist Instagram fans.
 
I like Widow too. She's a bit salty, but since when is that a bad thing in a drag queen?

I feel like image wise her execution doesn't always match her vision, but she's bringing a lot more to the show than Jackie, Crystal, invisible Sherrie or Jaida at this point.
 
Such a good episode and a very necessary dial back from last week's meh fest.

Brita, Heidi (love her but GURL) and Jackie were all very bottom but I did think it would be the first two that dropped down low to have to face off. Jackie's got enough of an edge to still cling on. I actually thought Brita horrifyingly might have won the lipsync, so it was a relief to see got the chop.

The riggory of it all was quite funny this week as surely the producer's must have not only known who was going to play which Madonna in the show, but also provided them with costumes too. But I don't believe casting alone is make or break, it's what you do with it that counts.

Challenge wise, Jan was very good, but Gigi and Jaida absolutely wiped the floor with her in the end. And WHAT a runway theme! It made me laugh from the moment Ru announced it and it did not disappoint.
 
As an unapologetic M loon I was worried about the premise but this was really fun and I think they did a good job with the Rusical.
