S12 E2: You Don’t Know Me

omg robyn! <ззззззззз

rock is my favourite though the fashion is hit and miss and his stage mom takeover of the challenge (with clipboard) was quite something. love her.
something's off about aiden, but i love that face painted.

i find it strange people see jaida a lot more beautiful than i do, the behaviour during the challenge was awful.

agree on jan, she's such an eager beaver teacher's pet and she honestly thinks she's edgier than she is.

dahlia looks like a man in make up and a dress but i think she's gorgeous.

and then the meryl streep of drag... i really don't care for stage queen but i enjoyed her more than i didn't in this episode - her lip-sync malfunction was the highlight of an otherwise boring set of performances.

also, i think i quite like thandie.

Jaida mocking Sherry's buzz-wire mime thing was my lip sync highlight.

It might be because my anal fissure has finally healed, but I've never wanted this many drag queens to bend me over and audition.

I found Jan’s eagerness endearing especially in the performance. Like she’s the most basic looking one but so eager that I just kept looking at what she’s doing.

Jan is my kinda gal. Dahlia's one of the most stunning queens ever to grace the stage as well.

This was obviously edited in the last 24 hours but also I really enjoy Bob and Peppermint

I literally just mentioned the obvious edit in the other topic.

But yes, I enjoy anything with Bob to be fair.

Yeah sorry I forgot the other thread exists, I was trying to avoid it but it’s in every headline (the spoiler bit).

I expect she’ll be edited out of fashion photo review as well.

I understand why they do it, but pretending she's not there for the whole season or until she stays in the competition is ridiculous. What's next, are they going to blur her in every frame?

I think if they had time they would have edited her out of the actual episodes.

I mean, even with time, how are they going to edit her out of the lipsync in the first episode? :D

RuPaul voice-over: congratulations Jaida Essence Hall, you're the top 1 this week, lipsync by yourself and I'll give you a tip of $5.000.

well they would give her no talking heads and a more villainous edit. Like the current edit might be very positive towards her and or expect she will be narrating a lot.

I wasn't getting the desperate Jan angle, she just seemed like a cuter US twink version of Cheryl Hole, dorky and likeable. With eyebrows I think he would be gorgeous.

I would do UNSPEAKABLY BAD THINGS to Jan out of drag

Overall, good episode. Robyn didn't seem to fit, sadly, but then I thought that might be the case. Thandie was giving it her ALL, which was REPLEASING.

By the way actually preferred this episode. Rock is probably my favourite, she's sweet and funny. Dahlia is stunning really. I don't think there's anyone actually weak this season!

Dahlia is stunning, but I'm not sure there is much beyond that.

Her performance was the weakest.

Rock telling her sob story immediately makes me think she won’t make it far. How else will Ru make her cry.

Oh I was just thinking about how early that has come too  do you REALLY feel like opening up to a group of perfect strangers hours after meeting them?

omg the sob story about doing drag queen choreography somehow related to your mum being addicted to meth had me unintentionally howling?

It was so random, didn’t make much sense and she’d ONLY JUST MET the people around her :D

Robyn much more engaging (and engaged) on What's The Tee this week. Just ignore the excruciating first couple of minutes when Ru and Michelle try to work out how long ago 1998 was, and the usual gumpf about Ru's inner child.

I wanted to come in and type JUST THAT EXACT comment this morning! The level of CRINGE at the "MATH" was just off the scale.

I do fucking love Ru when he talks about music, though. Well, music of a certain era. Loved how Robyn thinks Abba are one of her favourite acts ever and she couldn't remember "The Day Before You Came"'s title and had never heard "Two For The Price Of One", albeit that, admittedly, she might have been blocking that memory OUT...
