S12E12: Viva Drag Vegas

Well, I thought that was such a good top 5- the Rusical was really good, I thoroughly enjoyed the episode and seeing the love between them just proves that you don't need DRAMA for good tv.

As for the result, I actually thought Sherry might have been heading for the win- I thought she was brilliant and loved her runway look- but then I found it strange they didn't love her as much on the judging panel, but didn't put her bottom two? Unless it was edited that way (quite likely), then she was a clear bottom 2 on the night.

It was such a shame for Jackie- my heart broke for her the minute Ru said about report cards being taken into consideration as I think she knew her time was up. I don't think it was a vintage lip-sync (why at that stage of the competition would you not have a trick up your sleeve (or dress) to pull out? Bizarre!) but I think Jackie was better than Crystal, who just recycled her fitness instructor routine AGAIN, but I guess that didn't matter to the narrative of getting her into the final. I'm guessing the new format will mean they won't put Jackie back in either.

Still, great final episode to what has been a brilliant series for me, even with the cloud hanging over it.

That messy lip sync may have suited Live it Up better. Not the deluxe On the Floor moment I would have hoped for, it was like giving Vogue to Porkchop.

Another feel-good episode. I have loved this season and I love these queens. Pleasing results, but the lip sync was such a disappointment, especially ruined by Jackie’s messy performance.

I was hoping they might crowbar something in at the end of the episode. Not that Jackie was likely to win but still.

Soooo glad Crystal made it.

I still don't understand the hype around Jackie Cox. I find her boring and unpolished. Glad she's gone.

i liked the rusical. they were all very good (bar jaida who wasn't as good i hoped and jackie who was ok). gigi was my standout, she did great and the bit with the red number was fierce, darling, fierce. crystal was just infectious and i find sherry's benny hill meets pin-up meets broadway schtick fun.

happy with that result, though i also wondered if they wouldn't announce a cox injection into the finale, but i guess three solo zoom sessions are more than enough.

i dread a boring finale
i want costumes, lights and hundreds of people overreacting.

It's weird that they allowed the editing to make it SO obvious that Jackie won that lipsync - she must have genuinely been better from beginning to end otherwise they'd have tried to edit it to look like Crystal was better. I really hate it when they do that. Just don't bother with a lipsync if you've already made your mind up.

i really like jackie, but i think perhaps more as a boy than a drag queen.

his dancing did make me howl though.

it was a good episode. i ended up really enjoying the musical number, didn't expect to but it was really well done and, as mentioned earlier, i live for gigi. she was an eyefull.

This! I think he is so handsome in his talking heads but I’m drag she just doesn’t hit the mark for me. Also I didn’t think she won the lip sync either but then maybe it was more a case of I wanted her to go out of those two.

i liked the idea of it, but she could've at the very least cinched it in the waist better. it was not flattering at all. there's always something small holding her back looks-wise for me.

conversely, that was probably the best jackie has looked on the runway.

I thought Crystal’s look was magical and expensive looking and therefore fit the theme... but those boots she was wearing (again!)

And then in Untucked, I couldn’t believe the way she was sitting in the couch totally disrespecting the beautiful garment.

It was such an enjoyable episode, and everyone was pretty much flaw free. The fact that the final five becoming four had to be put down to report cards because they were all so close and so good, makes the Sherry situation all the more regrettable. And it leaves an even more bitter taste around the fact that Jackie excelled in the challenge and in her lip sync and yet it was all for nothing.

Of the remaining 3 I really can't call a winner - they're all good, but none are flawless. It could go any way.

Gigi was a star in that rusical. She really is a brilliant all rounder.
