Yeah another no-elimination but I like this cast, and when it became obvious that Daya and Deja weren't in the firing line I was happy not to lose anyone. I was titilated by the idea of Jasmine and Jorgeous lipsyncing and first thought "Oh shit is this an old jazz number?" that wouldn't have suited either of them, but they turned it out. Jasmine had more wow moments but Jorgeous was great.
As for the panel - it's weird, I had just thought about the S10 panel challenge, and why hadn't they done that again. I think it might have been better doing it last week and have 3 panels instead of 2 but meh. It seemed fair to give Bosco (BOSCO!!) the win anyway, even if I think Angeria was a bit hard-done by and Camden was lucky.
Camden, Deja, Daya, Jorgeous, Jasmine
1) Bosco - Really on a hot streak, there's never any awkwardness or smugness, she's very dry, kinda like your vagina, but still there's heart in there. SORT of giving me a less abrasive Bianca. I hope she wins.
2) Angeria - Still doing sterling work, the runway was back on form too, and she's also got that charismatic confidence like Bosco.
3) Willow - She has grown on me a lot, and the humour is always doing it for me - I'm sure that must be a misdirect for next week's Snatch Game tease, right? RIGHT? How the fuck did that end up being her shoulder-pads look?
4) Camden - I am very Team Camden but yeah it wasn't a banner week for her. I thought they were going to get her for fading into the background, but I wonder how much was editing? I can't imagine Bosco was skipping her as it appeared.
5) Jorgeous - Still love her - she is styling out her flop main challenges a lot better than Kerri was - I feel she's sort of clinging on now, but I really hope she makes it past Deja and Daya anyway.
6) Jasmine - 6th seems low but I do really like her too, it's just a really strong cast. Lip Syncs are great, and she really is trying hard to address the criticisms that are CEASELESS, she's not the only one with annoying habits, but she's really staying positive despite being picked on quite a lot. She's the Rhythmbarbican of drag.
7) Deja - I decided Deja is the Tina Burner of the season - trying to be known as the seamstress of the season (with Tina styling herself as a comedy queen), but I've rarely liked her displays of this skill. That said, her runway WAS good this week. Her moderation was competent and dull for me.
8) Daya - I'm rewatching S8 for my sins, and hating Acid Betty's shitty attitude and eyerolls, and whaddaya know, here's another Betty doing the same thing. Her shitting on Jasmine constantly is much fun as when Kornbread did it. Shitty attitude and I don't like her. In her defence, I don't think she's like Crystal Methyd. I thought Crystal was likeable, funny and exciting on the runway.
and I HATE HATE HATE Michelle's "Do you want gay shit?" signoff. Especially since I always tittered at "Do YOUUU want to watch everything about Drag Race?"
