And a very timely arrival for the Pilot CD and card today.

Remember Me is very dramatic. Not to be clichéd but it is a bit Bond theme-esque.
 
I’ve never seen them before. What are the setlist staples other than He’s On The Phone? I need Sylvie and A Good Thing to be on there.
 
Like a Motorway, Sylvie, Heart Failed and Nothing Can Stop Us have always featured fairly regularly at the shows I've been to.

Those are the absolute 100% always regulars I can think of off the top of my head

Others chop and change. I'd say A Good Thing, You're In A Bad Way (certainly recently), Girl VII, Mario's Cafe, Split Screen, Tonight, Magpie Eyes are amongst the most common of those. Hobart Paving and Avenue often get thrown in (and out) of the encore.
 
They nearly ALWAYS end on He's On The Phone- I wish they didn't. Like Steps with Tragedy, it's an absolute JOY when they finally deviate.

It isn't a surprise. They generally sell out or come close to at the venues they usually tour in and with this being the farewell tour, it's bound to have more interest. I do think these venues are a bit bigger than usual, though.
 
On checking, it's actually a smaller venue than the one they usually play there. I've seen them at The Ritz a few times over the years and New Century is smaller by 200 people (1300 capacity).

Both have historic sprung dance floors :disco:
 
The capacity here is 2124 when the floor is standing.

The lower seated tour looks to be nearly sold out, but the upper one is almost all available. Standing tickets still available.

Still, it's a long time yet...

But since when? The venues generally have gone down in size over the last couple of tours...I'd say Words and Music era (so 2013) was the last time I truly remember bigger venues being played.

That's not bad for a band like them. They'll surely pick up another few hundred in the next few months.

Yes, I wouldn't worry about them not getting a big crowd at all. Inevitably an act of their heritage and appeal is going attract sales over a longer period.

Self Esteem sold out her three standing nights here, but it took weeks into months to do it.
 
I received my first Christmas card of the season….from Bob, Pete and Sarah. Along with ‘The Character Of Saint Etienne’.

The London gig has already sold out and the others are “filling up” quickly so any stragglers elsewhere should get on it. I wonder if they’d have the scope for a 2nd London gig.
 
Ahh. Was just coming here to ask if it were bigger. Jolly good - more chance of me still getting a ticket further along the line.
 
Three new dates to be added imminently. Get poised @Sheena Venues permitting they could fit Belfast in either side of Dublin seeing as they’ve already made the trip but probably unlikely.

 
I noticed this this morning and was FUMING. I actually haven’t booked transport or hotels yet, though, so as long as it’s sensible additions, I’m in.

Saint Et tend to be a very Spring/Summer band for me, so I’ve been rediscovering this album lately.

Sweet Melodies could probably challenge for a place in my Saint Et top 10/20.

New York, where do I start?
Paris, that time in Montmartre…
Next time, where will I go?
London, London holds my soul…

Given their history, I think it would possibly have been a better album closer than the slightly chintzy The Last Time.
 
I was randomly thinking about their upcoming shows in the bath last night and realised that if they don’t play about 40 particular songs I’ll feel I’ve missed out on something. I tried to imagine a perfect 16 song set in my head but it was too hard.

I’m more overwhelmed if I’m honest! I haven’t had chance to properly plan anything and work has meant I’ve had to sell a couple of tickets (for the earlier gigs) anyway.

I’m sure I’ll be excited once it gets closer!
 
They've been pretty quiet this year. I thought they would have released another compilation by now, though perhaps they are saving that until they are done with touring.
