Video:
I think that is what they call feeling yourself.
I really like the chorus, he is actually quite restrained on it. The drop bit did make methe first time it came in.
Dreadful. His voice is so honky and auto tuned. The song is piffle. The dancing is rubbish.
He’s no Will Young.
Oh hunny we all dance like that when we're out and we've had juice. The difference is:that’s totally how (I think) I’m dancing when I’m out and have had too much juiceit would be crazy hot if it were someone like Troye Sivan but it’s a bit awkward with Mr Smith there
the song is not a patch on Promises or Dancing with a Stranger
Speak for yourself! I'm pretty sure I exude all of these essential rubbish qualities, and I still think he's the worstA. We look better doing it and have better moves
B. We're not dull like him
C. We don't think we're being fierce when we're not because we actually ARE fierce
D. He has a look of 'messy bottom about him. We don't.

I love Will! Better voice, better music, better dancer and way fitter than this goon.
thank fuck for that
Huh?He’s literally morphing into VoR.
There is perhaps one too many ideas going on in the video but I like it a lot - there's nothing even remotely "horrible" or a "car crash" about it, jesus. The choreography is very effective and the lighting in the black room setup is just gorgeous.
I think a lot of gays have particular ideas about whether Sam Smith is performing queerness in a way they like, or whether (god forbid) he is deemed attractive enough to be feeling himself in the way he is here (if this was Shawn Mendes everybody would be creaming themselves something rotten) - it's all a bit gross really. There's a lot of toxic "not our kind of gay" shit in our (supposed) community. You don't have to fancy him, he's not being positioned as a sex god, watch porn if that's what you want. Good on him for being confident, for being as flamboyant as he feels like being, song's good, video's great and a win for gay imagery in the mainstream.
He’s literally morphing into VoR.
Everything about this as a package is horrible. And I can’t really see who it would appeal to.

Wow.He’s literally morphing into VoR.
Everything about this as a package is horrible. And I can’t really see who it would appeal to. There are other (trendier) acts doing this much better and the braindeads are not here for dance breakdowns.
I see this is only #7 on iTunes. I would have expected him to go straight to the top.
Poor VoR.![]()
Oh okay. That's not how it came across though. Anyway... back to Sam Smyth I guessVoR from about a DECADE AGO (I wasn’t clear, I now realise).
And they were two VERY SEPARATE points.

I've not exactly followed Sam Smith's career very closely but this and "Dancing With A Stranger" are genuine corkers.
I think @Jark is on board tooI was about to say "what a bunch of fucking bitches" in this thread but then the last reply is alarmingly positive. I know we're all supposed to hate him apparently but this song is nothing less than a (sultry) stunner.
I mean I'm not particularly fond of him either but credit where it's due. Easily one of the songs of the year for me which I did not expect. It's utterly gorgeous.
