TBH my full initial reaction was excitement tempered with 'but it'll probably just be cheap crap'.

HOWEVER, apparently she's been in the studio with MNEK :o

That just sounds like someone's sink grinder with a bit of R&B production in the background.

A shame cuz I was looking forward to liking her new content.

First Leona now this?

Noughties Brit invasion 2.0

Joss Stone, Duffy and Natasha Bedingfield to confirm

Ooh, she’s got the braids back. Unfortunately I don’t think the success will be forthcoming with them.

oh sorry I totally forgot

it’s not like she’s a legend where everyone remembers her nationality though. She’s hardly U2...
That’s fine that you forgot :)

POP QUIZ: What are all of Samantha Mumba's middle names?
You’ll have to excuse the historical oppression-related sensitivity. :side-eye: There’s nothing more triggering to an Irish person than ONE OF OUR OWN being claimed by the/labelled British - which I know funky wasn’t doing intentionally.

Just watch yourselves the next time B*Witched make a stab at a comeback :kim:

Otherwise I go full tiocfaidh ár lá :ireland:

I only asked what her middle names were :emoji_cry:

Racist funky

it was bound to happen in his old age :eyes:

Doing the opposite of shaking and crying at the idea that @funky advocates the solution to no hard border as being simply to reclaim the island of Ireland as British.

I quite like this in a 6/10 kind of way. It'll do nothing but hopefully her label which I see is Mumba Music Worldwide don't lose faith in her.

Pleasant enough but not a comeback.

OMG at this line from the press release though

As one of only five Irish acts to be nominated for a GRAMMY Award, Samantha has been one of Ireland’s biggest female exports for nearly two decades.
