San Marino 2026: Senhit possibly feat. Boy George - Superstar

As if they’d quit when entry fees to the SAN MARINO SONG CONTEST are 50% of their GDP!

Queen Val promoted to Eurovision ambassador! (I have no idea either...)

I assume the semis are in addition to, rather than replacing the 15+ rounds of auditions. How will they fund it all if they can't spend the next 6 months fleecing the desperate and delusional?

In case you were worried that the 200+ entries last year weren't quite enough, they've announced an extra stage before the semis :)

Appropriately named for any contestant who thinks that entering this is a route to the Eurovision stage.

Only 150€ for those who want to register for the casting phase. Then an additional 150€ if they're selected for the Stage Live Academy.

The first random artist to pop up for the auditions is Eesti Laul's Elysa, who claims to have a winning song written by Jennifer Lopez's songwriters :eyes:

The random acts continue apace, including Maraaya (Slovenia 2015), Magdalena Tul (Poland 2011), a losing Festivali i Këngës act, a few old junior Eurovision entrants and someone with a song written by the writer of the past two Israeli entries that was rejected from Greece :) all the stars

240! :D

I make that about 36k Euros they're fleecing out of the gullible/deluded just from this round of the selection process. Obviously NONE of them are going to win, and it will be rigged for one of the ten "Big Artists" they're announcing at the end of the month.

They’ve released the list of semi finalists - a paltry 40 rather than last year’s 240 :( it includes such luminaries as the Slovene representatives from 2015, the Polish representative from 2011, the song that came 3rd in Albania and Emmy’s brother from “Laika Party”. One song has already been replaced once they realised it took part in last year’s contest :eyes:

The 10 “big” names will be announced later.

William Imola is a great made-up Sammarinese name. You just know that they looked up that the San Marino Grand Prix was held at the Imola circuit and entirely ignored that it’s 100km away from San Marino.

Dolcenera and Rosa Chemical have recent Sanremo appearances too, and Inis Neziri has been in Albania’s Festivali I Këngës a few times

The single cover looks very EXPENSIVE

At least Senhit would not have to downgrade her box room at the sticker factory for Boy George, who must be a lot cheaper than Flo Rida.

It’s very telling that BOY GEORGE is yet to acknowledge this is happening. Has he been HOODWINKED?

In a very Sammarinese development, apparently Inis Neziri (one of the 10 'big names') is managed by none other than the head of press for the San Marino delegation :eyes:
