Only JUST Cornwall, then. You have to go a bit further west to get the really beautiful scenery. You're quite close to Calstock which is very pretty.

You must head to the coast while you're there though (with the exception of Bodmin Moor there's little reason to go to Cornwall otherwise).

The Rame Peninsula just south of you has a few gorgeous coastal villages. I'm particularly fond of Kingsand and Cawsand, which blend into each other without you realising it.

Only slightly further afield you have Polperro, which is a quintessential Cornish smuggler's cove, and Looe, more your typical small seaside resort. And both of those have ROLY'S FUDGE :disco:
 
I will be on the look out for some Roly’s Fudge of course :disco:
 
Just realised it's ELEVEN YEARS since I went to Cornwall with @Star :o

We stayed in Polperro. This was the view from the cottage

I’ve taken my van apart to fit a battery thats the wrong size and I’m currently hiding in it and sobbing because I dont want to admit I’ve fucked up

I've been through Southampton many times. I just don't ever remember getting out there.
 
Brighton also closer to Portsmouth than Southampton but still an hour away
 
Emsworth has an EXCELLENT delicatessen. We go there to buy our christmas cheese.

Pretty little seaside village, basically. Make sure you have a swim.
