Saturday be testing you

7am start, 6am alarm call. Hopscotched past cat sick, no hot water, baby mouse in distress on way to re-set boiler. But how is YOURS?
 
I'm still waiting for my coffee to be brought to me :evil:
 
I'm going for a little run around CHELSEA (I'm so close to the stadium - disgusting) and then meeting a friend to watch Arsenal get Frenched this afternoon. nervous? moi??
 
Morning GIRlS! Just necked a latte on the balcony in the hammock, mildly hungover and deciding what to do with the day.
 
I might pop for a SWIM. It’s delightful weather wise here.
 
Went for an early break to get some air and to get over the trauma and feeling quite chill as I head back to doing things for a living.
 
got absolutely wankered last night but feel surprisingly fresh
 
Spent ages searching for a mouse in my bedroom, finally went and got the baseball bat and was asked by Mr F "where do you think you're going with that?!" so I told him there was a mouse in my room. He came in and also heard the scratching/gnawing that sounded like it was coming from my bedside cabinet. Shifted the bed and cabinet and there was no sign of any mouse so I kept the baseball bat and Mr F went back to his room, said I'd shriek for him if it appeared. I'm not scared of mice at all, just not enamoured with the prospect of having to kill one that's loose in the house. After he'd gone I switched off the PS4 that lives on the cabinet because it was doing the big fan noise and left it off for fifteen minutes during which time there were no mouse noises. Just before I switched it back on I noticed it was pushed right up to the side of the cabinet so shifted it about 1cm away from the side. Switched it back on and after about five minutes realised that the noises I'd been hearing were just the PS4's empty drive looking for a DVD but the sounds were reverberating down the cabinet because it was too close.

I'm never going to live this imaginary mouse down :D

Mr F is a snorer but that isn't why we have separate rooms. He has significant medical problems so having separate bedrooms means I can get a good night's sleep ready for work and he doesn't have to worry about waking me up when he doesn't sleep for more than a couple of hours at a time and has to distract himself from pain.
 
I was so good at sleeping as a boy, now it's like really Olympic hard.
 
As a side note, husband did unexpectedly good job on the cat sick - I gave him the option of deal with that OR the alive baby mouse - I'm not doing both - and he went for the thing that couldn't look him directly in the eyes and plead with him, so, yeah. Baby mouse freed outside - not sure on its prospects but minimum it died in amongst greenery.

I could sleep on a washing line. I don't go to the cinema because once those lights go down I'm asleep within minutes and it's just a very expensive nap. Once I switch the lamp off at night I'm asleep within moments, like when people put a sheet over a noisy budgie's cage.

Ours are indoor cats so it isn't a problem for us. But when we previously had outdoor ones, we had an agreement that I dealt with anything dead, and him with alive. Although often it's very difficult to tell until you try to pick it up.

What type of cats do you have? 🙂
 
I mean they really like being outside, I’d feel bad keeping them in.

They have never been outdoors, so they don't know what they are missing. Every so often I feel a pang of guilt, but then a cat down the road will get killed on it and I feel better.

Mine are indoor only cats too. As long as they are fed, have somewhere cosy to sleep and a few scratching posts they are as happy as larry!
