It's my solemn duty to inform you that Saturday has died. Apparently this actually occured three thursdays ago, but just go with it.

I'm eating Weetabix but I don't know why. Does one even need breakfast as we trudge through the void that Saturday has now left us with, hoping to hang on in to Sunday and a return to some form of hope and quite reflection.

I’ve not been there but when I briefly worked at the National Trust overlooking lovely St James’s Park they wanted to move a load of staff there - much to everyones horror. Not any of the key decision makers obviously - they all had to stay in London.

What I wouldn't give to be sipping cocktails on Swindon beach

I've spent the morning having email woes. My Outlook isn't getting my emails, I can see them if I log into my provider's webpage so they are there, just not pulling through to my Outlook. I don't want to bother spawn about it (I do really because she usually just remotely mends things and makes them work again but I've heard her slagging off her parents in law for asking her to mend stuff for them). So I googled and found out how to (maybe) sort the problem, opened Outlook and the missing emails have now all appeared.

The laptop is taking the piss out of me.

The landline rang, a foreign lady, she asked to speak to "the man of the house" so I asked why. She said it was to discuss repair insurance on household appliances. I asked why she would ring up and ask a sexist question like that. She said it wasn't sexist. I said that I, a woman, answered her call and she decided that this woman wouldn't have the authority to set up a repair policy, only her husband would be able to do it and that's actually incredibly sexist, what is this, the 1970s?! As I was telling her that women are allowed to go out to work nowadays, earn their own money, have bank accounts, drive cars, be astronauts and even do spacewalks on the International Space Station all without getting permission from their husbands she hung up on me. :D

Swindon is derived from Swine Dung. It literally means pigshit.

MORNING LOVES. I've had a lovely swim, and sat outside having a coffee and watching a mother and daughter have a massive row which ended with the mother throwing her half of a cake down on the table, plate at all, and shouting "I NEVER EVER EVER WANT TO GO OUT WITH YOU AGAIN", going to walk off, coming back to get her coffee, to which the daughter said "I paid for that", so the Mum got out her purse, threw a £2 coin on the tray, to which the daughter replied "it was more like a fiver", whilst grabbing said £2 coin, to which the mother replied "oh piss off" and took her coffee, mug and all, and flounced off.

It was marvellous!

Someone else I know said they were off to Swindon today. It's clearly the place to be.

Just thought I'd see if I could get the car going again as it hasn't been used for a few weeks. It's nearly 19 years old, but apparently we don't need a new one because everything can be PRESERVED INDEFINITELY if you 'look after it'

Drove it round the block and realised it's got a LEAK in the FUEL PIPE. "But we can still drive it?" :eyes:

I bought cheap trainers and I just want to apologise because Sports Direct/the Devil but i’m trying to economise. It’s not like Converse don’t immediately fall apart as well, despite being x3 the cost.

It really is time to murder that man

Send them BOTH off a cliff

Why do you still have a landline?!

Why do you still have a landline?!
Two reasons. It comes free with the internet package being the lesser one, to remove it from the package would mean paying more (I don't get why, it's daft). Main one is that my mum isn't the most tech-savvy person and will often ring it because she knows the number off by heart. Mr F's mum also rings on it.

A few years ago the phone broke so we just didn't have one plugged in any more, within a fortnight I was sick of getting text messages from spawn and my brother asking me to ring mum because the phone wasn't working. It was just easier to buy another one and plug it in. 🤷‍♀️
