MORNING MOOPY

I'm online holiday shopping for clothes. £650 on Asos so far. I expect £580 will be sent back for not fitting properly or being too young for me, but I am looking forward to the new trainers at least.

I have just bought myself three pairs of BUDGY SMUGGLERS to cheer myself up, though. I don't CARE how fat I look in THOSE :disco:

Now that’s a HAUL :disco:

I’m tempted to do some shopping myself, in the size I’m determined to be after another botched attempt at an intermittent fasting / kettlebell swing era :D

This is a good reminder. I really need to have a proper clothes clear out. Keep buying new stuff which usually rotates between the washing basket and sitting on piles on chairs, when the old stuff that doesn’t really fit anymore is clogging up the wardrobe being forgotten about.

It's a HAUL but only because I've ordered three sizes of everything. It's so fucking TOUGH when you're PLUS SIZED to know just what size is right. Online shopping doesn't work for the likes of me really, but there's no summery stuff in the high street right now really...

I meant to do that over Christmas but I'll obviously do my usual gym thing once I get from holiday so I decided to put it off until I know what size FUTURE ME will be :disco:

I love online shopping because I don't have to go to actual shops, but yeah it's a nightmare when you don't really know what size you are. Especially when one top in a size 16 fits, one is too tight and one is like a tent 😬

We're currently having breakfast at our Premier Inn. I hadn't realised until yesterday how anxious I am about flying :(

I totally understand what size I am but it's NEVER THE FUCKING SAME across brands/ cuts/ whatevers. I get that to an extent, but there's so much ridiculous deviation, it's insane. Before Christmas, I tried on a regular fit XXL top in Primark and it was ridiculously tight. I could have cried- I'm surely not THAT fat!? Then I went to Next and tried a regular fit XL and it was too big. It really is STUPID.

Flying tip: When you're scared, just look at the air hostesses/ stewards. If they're calm, you've got no shit to worry about. That solved my entire worry for me. That and flying so regularly for work I just had to get over it...

Ooh good tip thank you. We checked in last night and all the front seats had gone so we're near the back by where the stewards hang out. So I'll check them. Also apparently at the back you have a 44% chance if survival if you crash, as opposed to the front at 17% 🤷🏻‍♀️

Nah, you basically have SLIM TO NO chance if you're crashing, babe.

My problem is when shops will have their regular numbered sizes, and they remain quite consistent and reliable. Then for some products they move to S/M/L type sizing, which is completely inconsistent. I’ve found Small in some things to be too big (very very rare, but it has happened) and Large in others too small in the SAME store. Or most often, Medium is too small and Large is too big, so I’m just screwed either way.

I'm kind of annoyed that I'll be one of the last to die at the back if we nose dive. I'd rather get it over with.

11.5 hours flight isn't ideal for two nervous flyers.

Should have got yourself some valium :disco:

Why do some shops go from 12/14/16 to S/M/L? I never understand.

Reduces the size range for cost purposes I suppose. So an XS could cover 6-8, S could cover 10-12 etc. I just always fall right in between though. Even for socks and tights.

For socks? Isn't the average sock 4-8?

I always see 3-5 and 6-8 listed. I’m a 5 1/2! For tights too it’s done by height and dress size and I’m bang in the middle between M-L for both.
Interesting. I'm going to pay more attention to my socks now.

I'm at a loss of things to do today. We're a bit skint, I've been home all week so the house looks great. My yoga mat arrives tomorrow. I've already picked up my meds, which was the only thing on the life admin list.

I'll have a blast of Italian in a bit and probably pay some chess. But other than that I'm a bit bored, which I desperately want to avoid!

Been to see the relatives so that's Christmas officially completed now!

Always a relief

Despite some tense sounding exchanges in the group chat it was all actually very friendly

Moopy genuine question.

What size do you need to be to not be able to fit in an airplane seat? Cos for 2 days I've convinced myself I won't fit and have Googled seat sizes and measured myself etc 😬

You'll be fine

Well I just got chilli on my balls. Dipping my testicles in milk was not on my plans for today.

Dont get me wrong im not slapping it about in hot sauce

I once worked in a Mexican restaurant and got salsa on my nob mid shift whilst peeing and had to discretely dip the tackle in a glass of milk mid-shift. Very humbling experience.

I hope you served it to a customer who was being a bit of a cunt
