Saturday - HEAT ONE

I wish I had the horrid cold! I've got a blocked or possibly infected saliva gland under my tongue and I never even knew that was a thing. It was so painful yesterday but I've been eating lots of sherbet lemons today and it's (weirdly) actually helped. Oh and I've had the tom-tits for four days now which isn't helping with trying to gain some weight.
Oohh that sounds unpleasant. Apart from sherbet lemons, how is it meant to be treated?

Sorry to hear that you are not well but “tom-tits” just made me guffaw like an old shrew.

In the early stages drinking lots of water and eating things that make your saliva run, citrussy and sour things, in the hope it's just a little blockage that gets shifted. If it doesn't get better in a few days and it's an infection I'll get antibiotics. If it's blocked because of a stone that doesn't get dislodged it might need to be removed surgically.

I returned to bed for the last five hours after attending a rather unnecessary afternoon party for old people, with a beast of a hangover.

Thankfully my 7 month old niece who is easily my favourite ever person was on top cute form.

:o a stone! I hope it starts to get better without surgery

I've managed to avoid covid for all this time. I've decided I'm immune.

Hope you haven't had it too bad?

I think if you're double vaxxed, you'll only really get it if you're exposed to it a fair bit. Thankfully not too bad, just left with a bit of a heavy chest, but it was freedom today today!

Epponnee had it at the end of August and I know he's been left with his chest being the last symptom to clear. He said it was like the feeling you get after eating too much bread.

Just a short walk and my chest is left pounding.

I had zero affects on the first one, but vax two wiped me out for a few days. I got a nagging throat thing at around five every day ever since - I just blamed it on aircon as I’m back on the office.
