Saturday is a HUGE moment for the gay community.

Just had a look at the names for future storms this year. I fucking hope we get to STORM KITTY

It's been a glorious morning here, I didn't even wear my coat to walk the dog. It's now clouded over a bit and there's a bit of a breeze but I've already done the poo-stick adventure in the back garden and emptied the recycling boxes because our local rag is touting Storm Ciara as being a doozy so at least I can batten down the hatches tomorrow and not go anywhere if it gets hellish.

I have never heard the term doozy before.

I like the word doozy. It makes me think of The Hooded Claw. "OK, Pitstop, here's the plan...and this one's a doozy"

About an hour away from Liverpool. It’s starting to get windy. I’ll be bringing my hairspray with me tonight.

Are you just down for a jolly? Have a good night my darling. Stay safe!

Yes, pretty much. But I think I’m going to go to brookside close tomorrow. :disco:

We keep having bits of rain and the wind's getting quite gusty, maybe it's happening after all.

Went to visit my dad earlier, there's now a beefy male nurse stationed permanently at the entrance to his bay of four beds. There's my dad, Fred and Gordon who all have dementia and Roy who has Parkinsons in there. Apparently my dad kept geeing up Fred and Gordon to try and escape with him which was fine until Roy joined in too on Thursday night, although he's very doddery and shaky he was compos mentis enough to work out how to open the security doors at the entrance to the ward. So now Fred has a pad on his chair and bed that sets an alarm off at the nurses' station when he gets up, my dad's medication has been increased along with a sleeping tablet every night and the nurse sat at the door distracts them when it looks like they're trying to run again.

12 hours into nicotine withdrawal I feel mostly fine but with the attention span of a gnat. I wrote several furious and completely unreasonable e-mails to the courier company that failed to deliver my passport though.

Might be a storm brewing but my neighbours are still out in the garden making noise

What what what? I thought it was abandoned/ demolished.

I think it was turned in to flats and restored. I mean, I bloody hope it’s still there :D
