I thought duct tape was the name of the specific type of tape and Duck Tape is a brand that sells various types of tape including duct tape. Duck's masking tape is excellent for decorating, sticky enough that the paint doesn't bleed under the edges but it comes off the wall easily and cleanly, even a couple of days later.
