I’d ask if it was too late for a Saturday thread, but this is actually quite early by the standards of recent weekend threads.

Going to my niece's 1st birthday party and I can't say I'm happy about it.

I'm being that twat today that spent the week asking people to make plans for Saturday so I had stuff to do, and then cancelling on everyone because I can't be arsed.

I just had my first bath since early April 2022 and it was amazing. Singing loudly to my crappy music because it was bashing down outside so there was nobody on the park to hear me. It probably cost eighty quid for the gas to heat the water but it was worth it. I had to get out before my half-hour was up and I feel a bit squiffy now because I'm just not used to the heat any more. Everything in my body was pounding and when I stood up to get out I thought I was going to faint so I had to lie on the floor wrapped in towels for a few minutes.

I've been out twice today and took lots of sitting breaks. Nothing hard work. I'm shattered. I even poured a glass of wine that I threw away and went to bed instead. I really thought I was getting better. The doctor tells me it's post viral fatigue, which sounds like a huge pile of nothing, but I'm struggling to operate as a functioning human.

You definitely need to be patient if you have post viral fatigue. More trendily known these days in a catch all sense as "long covid" it's an absolute monster and the only way you get better is rest.

Drink tonnes of water, take multi vitamins, don't over exert yourself. Listen to your body. If you feel like you need an afternoon nap, have an afternoon nap.

PVF attacks the body in so many different and unexpected ways and it can be different for everyone. For 18 months I had what I now call "wobbly leg syndrome", where if I was walking down the stairs my legs would start to turn to jelly because I didn't have the energy to use those muscles. I was 25!

The main thing is it does go away, but you have to be patient.

11 years :o

Of course my bloody bastar neighbours are having some party tonight so there's just NO PEACE :argh::durst:

Look at all that swearing.

SHE’S SMASHED!

BACK AWAY FROM THE KYLIE ROSE, @Star, BACK AWAY.

Happy anniversary- is it really that long? That’s ridiculous…
