Slept like an itchy hostage last night thanks to all the fireworks. We still had them going off intermittently long into the early hours. Bastards.
 
Just had a flat viewing. Was just about to compromise on my bathtub (sad) and then they revealed there was no DISHWASHER. What am I? Some kind of ANIMAL?
 
I don't either, largely cause the process of having to prewash everything prior to putting them in makes me feel it's kind of pointless, but I live alone and there's not much to wash anyways.
 
@octophone why am I able to play Aimee Mann’s album in full for free on Bandcamp? I didn’t buy it from there or subscribe. Is it always like that? I have bought Desperate Journalist’s stuff from them in the past.
 
Dishwashers recycle the same water lots so sticking stuff in covered in bbq sauce just means your washing plates in 12% sauce.
 
I am without dishwasher these days. It's shit. Washing up is such a chore.

I do have a bath, but who has the time?
 
Well dishwashers should be done under trade description as what’s the point if you have to wash the stuff anyway?
 
I'm here too early! They said three hours before takeoff for international travel, but the check-in opens two hours before :shock: Glad I made those six mini baguettes now.
 
All I do is bung my cutlery and crockery in the sink to soak for a couple of minutes while I put cups & glasses on the top shelf. And everything is always sparkly fine.
 
We had a dishwasher for years, but after it broke a few years back we've never bothered replacing it. Washing up is about the only chore I don't dislike.

It helps that we have a second sink in the utility room so we use that one for the washing up and leave it all stacked there, rather than it being piled up visible in the kitchen.

That's normal. Bandcamp isn't a streaming service as such and they don't pay for streams. They liken themselves to a shop with listening booths, which was common in the 60s and 70s and even later on, there were often listening posts in Virgin and HMV. The rationale is that one Bandcamp sale is worth more to the artist than a couple of thousand streams on Spotify. Some labels/artists restrict streaming so they may only have a few tracks available, others just let them all stream freely.

@octophone I'd completely forgotten about the listening posts in HMV! I vividly remember listening to Kings of the Wild Frontier by Adam and the Ants in there but haven't thought about it in decades. Thankyou. I still have the LP, purchased that same day, but it has a chunk missing out of the edge because I dropped it on the floor so can't listen to Dog Eat Dog or Kings of the Wild Frontier.
 
I don't pre-wash anything before putting it in the dishwasher but I do rinse most things under the tap first if they've got sauce or egg on them and everything always comes out sparkling. Mine's an ancient Bosch but at work we have the same, updated, model and it's rubbish, nothing's ever properly dry and it leaves streaks down the crockery and glasses.

We used to have these at the cd store at the mall when I was a kid and it was one of my first experiences hearing music that wasn't on the radio

Got some mega speed garage bootlegs yesterday off bandcamp, its ace. Fuck beatport.

My brother had the cassette so I heard that album a LOT. Later on, I bought my own copy. Totally stands up.
