I'm making a soup, because it really is all we have in.

It's my birthday weekend and I'm skint. Send booze/ money/ bread goods.

I’m off to the dreaded Margate pride and at the station 50 mins early because my friend said there was a train at 12:10 but they were LYING.

Also pondering on doing a job application for essentially my DREAM JOB but it’s based in LEEDS and can I be fucked with the commute/moving there.

A friend who lies about trains is no friend at all.

Somerset for the day

Currently sampling craft cider after a heavy morning of charity shopping with nothing to show for it

So far today I've learned how to change the "gearbox" thing on a upvc door after it chose the exact weekend my parents are away to finally wear out completely and prevent me locking the door. Security last night consisted of removing the door handle so Mr burglar would need a square rod to open it

Guessing a locksmith would've charged £100 or so

Last night I had to drive with my full beam on for a long-ish stretch. I'm pretty sure even without lamp posts you should still be able to see in front of you. Was really hoping the police I drove by in a built up area might have stopped me if my regular lights weren't on (about 2-3am). I'll have to Google this before next nocturnal navigation.

When I used to drive on country roads I often had my full beam on for miles because without lampposts it was pitch black. Do you need to visit @Star 's eyeballs hospital?

Oh that's reassuring, because when I parked my car I got out with the engine still on and the lights looked... fine. I've just never noticed it this bad before.

I love driving down unlit windy country roads at night because you can tell for miles when someone is coming towards you. As a result you can floor it in the middle of the road and pretend you are driving a rally car

Anyway, just spent a day wandering around Venice in 35+ heat. It was lovely, but I’m ready to fuck my child off to someone hotel rep.

I worked it out. I put the onions in first and they burned at the bottom and overheated. Any "hard veg" that could burn put on top.
