When I was growing up one of the common terms of endearment was cock. Pretty sure that would earn you a punch nowadays![]()
My friend Fred (originally from Greenock) used to always call me hen, I never found it half as annoying as that Stoke On Trent term of endearment, duck.
I'm supposed to be working at home again today but I really can't be arsed so I've walked the dog and been shopping. Now I'm going to make a pan of "low-fat" tater ash for Mr F's tea then I won't feel quite as bad about scoffing chinese in front of him later.
Is that roast with potatoes and onions all mashed together? Yum.
I am sitting drinking wine. I love nothing days.
It's minced steak (5% fat), onion, carrot and spuds. Stick it all in the pan with some Oxo cubes and water, bring to the boil then simmer for an hour until the spuds go soft. Basically corned beef hash but with mince instead.
I had an Indian last night for the first time in ages and it was amazing, but jesus I’ve shit for England today.
