SATURDAY (?)

One train already cancelled, the next is mysteriously cancelled and yet on time at the same time.

I've got proper cabin fever being at home. Been out to the shops first thing but nothing took my fancy :(

We were meant to be going to Cardiff today but woke up to a train cancellation alert. Thought we'd just go on the next one as it's only 30 minutes later, but then that one was also cancelled. Decided against it then as no doubt others will be rammed if there are at least two cancellations.

Someone's drawn a miserable face in the frost on the pillar at the entrance to my drive

How JUDGEMENTAL

I think that’s my train!

This next one is starting further down the line than usual and only three stops from mine so I’m hoping it won’t be insanely busy.

One cancellation was due to lack of staff, another was due to a point failure. And there was another earlier train which seemed to start it's journey, but then get cancelled down in Hampshire somewhere. It felt like we'd be tempting fate even trying to get somewhere - and then I'd probably only ve stressed all day worrying about getting back.

Had a shower and feeling a bit better today so I charged up the battery on Mr F's new drone xmas present and set it all up for him. He can't read the instruction manual as the writing is so teeny, even I had to take photos of each page then enlarge to read it.

Anyway he came downstairs so I said I'd charged it all up for him, placed it in the middle of the living room floor and handed him the controller. He said "knock yourself out", as I'd charged it and got it all set up, so I switched on the drone, switched on the controller and pressed what I thought was the "up" button (there are so many buttons). The drone rose straight into the air then started flying towards the telly, I panicked, screeching loudly and pressed the off switch on the controller whilst the drone smashed into the telly and got two of the propellers stuck down the plastic at the bottom of the telly screen. It's back in the box now.

I’m about to punch some fucker in this hospital. The level of absolute INCOMPETENCE is insane. In lots of actual pain, told at 8am I would be prescribed Tramadol, finally prescribed after complaining four times at 18:00…and “oh, they’ve prescribed you soluble which we don’t have, so we’ll have to get the doctor to represcribe but might not be til the morning.”

Oh and…

“I can give you a paracetamol?”

ARGGGGHHH

Demand the BLACKOUT BUTTON that you press to fill yourself with IV OXYCONTIN until you can't press it any more

THEY HAVE IT I'VE SEEN IT

It’s finally arrived!

Oh good, I was going to say you need to start throwing a bit of a fuss otherwise. You can't tell me there's not another doctor in the hospital who can't sign for it tonight!

Indeed!

And even better…it even works for the pain! :D

Honestly, this is so good- it’s actually worked, I feel slightly high and the lovely support worker has just come in and said it’s stalled- so I think I’ve only had a quarter of the dose thus far :D

You are in hospital? Bloody hell! I’m not sure what for but sending you lots of love darling. No one wants to be in hospital ever but it must be extra difficult at this time of year. Take great care sweetheart. 😔

Wouldn't it have been less stressful to just donate what was left to an old people's home rather than keep opening up the shop when you've already told everybody it would be closed?
That didn't even cross our minds. But yes that probably would have been a good idea.

But we pretty much sold out yesterday and customers were happy.

Although, most seem panicked that we are closing, thinking we're closing for good. We didn't tell them this time next year we probably will be closed forever.

Supposedly (and I wonder if it's on here I read it as lord knows I live with my head in the sand) it takes 2-5 years for it to be effective.

Really wish I'd thought to have done it. I wonder if it's like chicken pox and it's a one and done.
I got two jabs!
