Schrödinger's Tuesday

I nearly had a wank in the walk in chiller when I went and did the bulk buying for our festival last year, I spent an hour drooling in the crisp isle.
 
I’d actually forgotten all about it. And it’s not like anyone’s going to WIN anything

Having taken many weeks to get used to the inhumane, life-ending torture of it not happening, I don’t want some half-arsed replacement or to be reminded that it was cancelled. Not that I’m an all or nothing sort of slag obviously :)

In fact, the sooner it’s 17 May, THE BETTER :disco:
 
I'm going back to work on Thursday. I can't decide if I'm happy or not, but the longer I'm off the worse it'll be.

The good news is I'm going to a branch that I can walk to in 5 mins.

The bad news is I'm totally on my own in the practice chasing all the bad debtors. I hate debt chasing :(
 
Oh I quite enjoy sending passive aggressive e-mails to clients who haven’t paid.

I hate it, but usually because they phone us to give abuse. But emails and phones are switched off so I'll just be sending letters and any complaints will go to the main hospital to deal with :D
 
I'm working HARD on not being a MISERABLE MESS right now. It's kinda working. Uni work is going well, Mr Ag is being quite resilient, we're both quite chill... only to find my brother in China has lost his job.

It never rains but it POURS.

Is the branch closed to the public? I've no idea what's going on with my work and I'm trying to sort out childcare which is difficult.

Will that not likely mean he comes home, though, which a) might be nice, b) allow you to mend and c) help with your family?

Yes it is at the moment but we might start doing vaccinations. But clients won't be allowed in the building for months.

Are child minders still working? When are you due back?

I don't know what's going on with mine, it's making me a bit anxious. Nursery is due to start June 1st, but probably won't be able to give us the full hours because they've limited capacity now. I'd rather hold them back from nursery for a bit longer but I can't work unless I have childcare. And I've no idea what is going on at work, I don't know when I'll be needed again, I can't imagine there will be a lot of demand as soon as we open. So I can't give nursery a definite answer. And when we do open back, there's talk it'll be extended hours to spread the flow of people, so again I don't know how that will fit in with childcare :(
 
It's all so rubbish isn't it :( our team with kids can't work yet but within the next month or so we need them back, and there's only so much flexibility we can offer.
