Oh it would be a riot to watch in hindsight. I remember at the time he seemed like he was on a PR tour and trying desperately to be nice and lovey, but it was that forced American love in that works on American TV but just seems weird in the UK. The audience were egging him on to be fair but he was just leaning into it and it was awful. Now it’s clear he knew what was coming and he somehow thought he could build up some goodwill reputation in advance of the charges.
That’s some grade A narcissism!
