That Silky Nutmeg Ganache is a bit much but at least she has some personality as opposed to the first four...

Vanjie’s like a fantastic Cucu (aka nothing like Cucu) and isn’t realistically going to get much further than she ever did. Still, thank God there’s a personality in a season which looks like it’s passed on that option given the dismal evidence we’ve seen so far, and as long as we get a few episodes of that fag ash growl :disco:

Hasn't that been done on purpose in the US? They saw how the gay scene was making a "night" of it and have jumped on the bandwagon. Traditional ratings mean FUCK ALL for a show like Drag Race anyway- everyone watches online.

I know when I was in the US for the debut of AS3, Denver's gay HOTSPOTS had loads of advertising about it.
But it was ALREADY a night during weeknights - they got the best of both worlds with good ratings and supporting the pink economy. Gay hotspots don't NEED Friday night support, especially at the expense of weeknight support!

Are you on GLUE? :D (I mean yes obviously, but)

Vanjie's TWENTY TIMES the queen THAT USELESS OLD MOO WAS

I doubt very much whether World of Wonder gives a FUCK about the pink economy- the more people in bars watching it (as there inevitably will be at weekends) the better the atmosphere/feedback/ buzz. And as I said, it doesn't matter anyway- no one watches live anymore anyway...

Obviously I'm not watching the interview version, rather all the individual clips. Looking promising...

The individual clips really DO have some gems in so far

Honey Davenport: "I'm here to CHANGE THE WORLD"

*goes out in week 1*

She's the only one who's sparking any interest for me. Not least because of that LAUGH

I'm not convinced how well she will do - I find her INTERESTING rather than anything else.

I think she'll do quite well. There's some all too obvious tat in that line-up and there's something about the eyes (well, the contacts) which reminds me very slightly of David Hoyle. And you can't ask for better drag than the divine David

i tend to be underwhelmed by meet the queens (though i do believe i called violet as the winner back in the day) so i don't put too much into these vids though some of them (inevitably the ones with the shittiest names) seem quite tragic. but i'm a proper nerd so here's how many views each queen has gotten for posterity.

soju 287
plastique tiara 287
vanjie 250
brooke lynn hytes 155
silky 151
yvie oddly 142
nina west 139
ariel versace 139
a'keria 132
scarlet envy 117
mercedes something something114
shuga cain 112
honet davenport 100
kahana montrese 99
ra'jah o'hara 99

so far i like yvie, i want to like soju and nina more than i do and maybe it's the dress code but most of the african american queens are blending into one dull mix of seen it already.

and why are they 15? weren't they supposed to be 14?

VH1 has deleted the Ruveal video and Aquaria has lashed out against them for making her humiliate the queens and herself.

i didn't watch much of it. humiliate themselves how? apart from displaying her awkward hosting skillz and the extraordinarily lame games?
