Shaznay Lewis - Miracle/Kiss of Life + Pages (album 2)

Did I see she's on Jools Holland this week? When is that even on I must record/tune in
She’s performing ‘Hearts In Danger’ tonight. Not that it’ll make a difference to the album performance at this stage but not the one I’d have gone for.

LA State of Mind - I surprised myself I didn't have to google that :disco:

I listened to the title track from that recently and was amused to see that Mel B’s speaking parts were translated as *indiscernible blathering* on Apple Music lyrics :D

this is the worst song on the album

Pick You Up with full band would be bliss!

Not the album cut I would have chosen but there you go

perfectly lovely live version of Summer Rain now on spotify for some reason - I'll stick to the original

So does 'Peaches' accompanying Summer Rain mean thats the next single? Is 'Spotify singles' the new DOUBLE A SIDE?!

She wrote Got to Let Go about her son growing up years and years ago, she then changed it and the version on the ALBAM is about the All Saints girls.

ARE we gonna get an All Saints album ever again? The relationship between them seems kinda volatile on the outside but they all also seem to have creative respect for each other.

They were actually genuinely close to each other during the 10s reunion but maybe it just run its course again. I see them getting back together when they need another payday and they’ll do the festival circuit but we may not get another album.

The last two albums had no right to be as good as they were. I hope they at least made some money from them.

Pretty much everything they've done has been superb TBH (yes, even ALL HOOKED UP). They're wonderfully consistent, especially for a '90s girl band'.

Is it volatile still? I get the impression they're genuinely all good with each other these days, but simply like not just being defined by the band. And if any of them ever found themselves short of money, an All Saints record in 2024 isn't going to change that.

Got to Let Go officially the NEW SINGAL and is B-List on R2 :disco: My fave from the album.

Yeah and that picture is giving "Professional Development guest speaker!"

Only just discovering this. She seems to purposefully be hiding most of her distinct Shaz-izmz, but I think it's gorgeous despite in no way replacing the bleepy bloopy perfection of the orig.

Shaznay Lewis has signed a global publishing agreement with BMG, Music Week can reveal.

The songwriter, recording artist and founding member of All Saints has agreed to an exclusive deal that takes in her entire songwriting catalogue, including her existing works and future compositions.

Lewis' catalogues includes some of the most recognisable songs of the past three decades, including Never Ever, Pure Shores, Bootie Call and I Know Where It’s At. An Ivor Novello and BRIT award-winning songwriter, Lewis is widely recognised as the creative force behind All Saints' songwriting success.

As a songwriter, Lewis has written and co-written hit records spanning pop, R&B and soul, both for All Saints and for other recording artists.

Under the agreement, BMG will represent her catalogue globally while supporting her future songwriting through its international publishing network.

She's going to open a pulled pork burger van. The burgers will come with an Appleton Sauce. Mel Blatt will Smash(burger) the place down when she finds out. She'll be livid.
