i have replaced all lols and hahas with emojis and the occasional hahaha. the 3 has do the trick in making one seem charmingly deranged, but the regular 2 has just say: I hate my life and/or I don't find you funny.
My mum has got a bit 'mumsy' lately and started forwarding me really unfunny WhatsApps. I respond with a 'haha *crying face emoji*' but I don't think she gets its nuance.

Basically just at the end of a sentence for no reason at all. Which means I feel the need to clarify if something actually makes me laugh for real. Its pointless. Similar to using "like" as a filler word in person

I use haha way more than lol

I did wonder whether it might be used for filler purposes

What are you even supposed to say to "what are you into?"

Guys that used to go straight in with top or bottom annoyed me more than anything. I very wittily used to reply red or green pesto?

After many lols and blocks one guy replied "I make my own", which although didn't answer the question at least showed initiative.

marry the man who makes his own pesto.

I find the apps basically the new SOCIAL MEDIA these days, in that the people just want matches instead of likes. Barf.

It makes it all so fucking pre-planned, doesn’t it? This is why I hate the apps. No room for spontaneity or being into different things with different people

Extremely. What I want to say is "I think you're attractive/likable enough to hook up with, but the specifics will be based more on what we both want in the moment. I'm willing to try some things but not all things. Who knows?"

But that would be a very boring answer

A better and more thoughtful answer, though

What I don’t get on the apps are the ones who keep looking at your profile but never say anything. And not like once a week or month, like several times a day and then when I say Hi I get nothing.

The nearest person to me on Grindr this moment is named "Brit. safe only" and he has a lion in his profile. Suspicious

Another issue for me with app dating is the (perceived on my part, perhaps) expectation that you’ll want to do all the things you’ve said you’re into STRAIGHT AWAY. Doesn’t take into account whether you’re in the mood for this, that or the other on the actual day

it's almost unbearable how a singular dot can possess so much cunt energy. I really only employ them when i want to ESCALATE SOME BEEF.

which is not that uncommon, but I'm a Leo so pls allow
