I knew the last album was ages ago, but looking on Spotify was thrown by the deluxe released two years later in 2021.

Loving this, sounds like a return to her original sound - this is very "Touch" coded.

I like some of Cassandra's singles from last year but I never got round to delving into the album... I'm aware it is meant to be more experimental. I'll give it a go.

the singles are the best songs - not a bad album but it feels a bit inessential on first play

I really don’t like it. Shura has decided to become a different artist and that’s all for her and her artistry and if she’s happy, great yadda yadda.

But it’s so plodding and nothingy. Her music, and songwriting, and voice, came alive with that rich retro pop sound. The first album will always be a masterpiece. But this I am not feeling at all.

I like the soundscape quite a lot, even though I also miss her synthpop escapades. it's just that several of the songs aren't particularly strong.

if she was prolific in the way Lana or Kali Uchis is, this could be an interesting anomaly in a varied discography. but releasing albums so infrequently (this was written mostly in 2021-22 I think) makes an average one feel more of a disappointment.
