Oh I think I recall liking this, but I probably won't get involved.

I haven't! But if it's still happening I'm only doing Abbey Road, which is at 7 anyway :D

OK, then anyone who wants to do can do Abbey Road (I can't be BOTHERED tbh) and then we'll all get high off sadness with Shura together :disco:

Let's just hope we all have upsetting developments in our love lives in the next 3 hours to really GET this album

the video for What's It Gonna Be is so sweet. it's really embarrassing how teeny this album makes me feel :D *breaks hip jumping the stairs*

Just trying to catch my breath from the Kylie sync listen
you can probably getting away with skipping the intro :eyes:

I think I've only heard this once before. it's quite evocative.

Yeah the intro is kind of nothingy. Nothing's Real is not of my favorites but its a good opener and a solid 8/10.

the entire album is co-produced by Joel Pott (of Athlete) and Shura, and written by them, with Greg Kurstin also involved in two tracks.

getting things off to a very STABBY 80s ELECTRO start with the title track with a few 70s DISCO STRINGS thrown in for good measure. it's about having anxiety attacks and being told by the doctors there's nothing WRONG with her (medically).

I did not know that but what a great topic for a song

I'm a dead girl walkin
I NEED MEDICINE!

Very early 80s disco new wave to me.

I'm on my OWN
you're at the BEACH
hundreds of miles away...

loads of yearning and a feeling of nostalgia in What's It Gonna Be. definitely gives me some big 80s new wave/random Gwen Stefani energy.

What's It Gonna Be makes me want to DANCE and CRY (the best combination in a song)

Touch is one the best songs of the last 10 years. The lyrics are PERFECT. She really is able to write about the feelings of wanting to be with someone but knowing it isn't going to work so so well

"What's it Gonna Be" is begging to be a teen movie BOP that never was. It's so lovely.

Touch is one of my favourites of all-time! I have used and abused this song a great deal in the last five years.

I really love how simple it is - just the same short "verse" and "chorus" repeating over and over, with new musical elements coming in sparsely to add depth. it's a very careful, delicate song in that sense and I think it's deliberate to match the subject matter - that feeling of tip-toeing around somebody because it's just so difficult not to get it wrong.

I never felt so close
and now I know it's over

:(
