the Ian Wright parody about the footballer meeting his old school teachers was another quite good one featuring her.

Yes it's wild he's on the same number as Fouracres. Also Celeste having notched up more than Emma Sidi?? Was she playing bits of the set?

Waddingham is a fabulous shout for this.
 
she is fucking killing it. easily the funniest monologue so far - she's almost giving Kristen Wiig in some of her little tics. a queen.

MEEK was so good and it's really kind of outrageous we're not sending her to Eurovision.
 
I'm watching it a bit behind. This MEEK song is still not for me but that is Florrie on drums isn't it?
 
I loved the open. Larry getting to do a good Charles... but Ange's reveal :disco:

Dangerous song wasn't really funny, show otherwise good so far and I agree Aimee has been great.
 
unreal that they ended that skit with the ad itself :D this show makes my face hurt.
 
The lightest week on laughs for me, but still a joy. Loved Aimee Lou.I thought a lot of sketches had good ingredients without mining them fully for laughs. Famous Five in particular could have been way better

Mario and British Pork were A+
 
The Famous Five, Mario and the cold open are all up - the cold open was brilliant and, yeah, Larry Dean was ace in that, so was Celeste Dring. Mario was priceless but Famous Five was trying to do two things at once and didn't quite nail it; some good lines and, of course, Fouracres being Fouracres.
 
Famous Five was the weakest sketch so weird choice for an upload! Marry was my other weakest :D

Doctor Who was my favourite sketch of this ep, and I really enjoyed the guests on Weekend Update - much better than last week.
 
I loved Mario (must have been written by a big Nintendo fan) and the Pork advert.

Aimee was great!
 
omg. so I found the Kim Cattrall scat video that Aimee did in her monologue - what the... :D



even wilder than the scat itself is what she says afterwards... it's genuinely like something from a mockumentary?

but I didn't realise the US show already did a skit based on this, with my queen Cecily Strong



how did I miss this? :disco: I'm obsessed. sidenote - the cast really lost so many brilliant comedians and didn't replace them. Aidy, Cecily and Ego were everything.
 
I note that Mock The Week was not only renewed for a 2nd season but has also been given an extra 5 episode mini-series in June into July.

Is satirical television comedy BACK?
 
The times always demanded it but the BBC shat it off the Tories and cancelled everything except Have I Got News For You.
 
I miss The Mash Report. That was better than Mock The Week. Who is on Mock The Week now? It got so stale because they had the same people on in rotation. All the same comedians probably with the same agent.
 
“The Burbs” star Whitehall scored the lowest numbers of the season so far with 119,540 viewers for Episode 4. After a one-week hiatus the ratings have started to climb back up, with Coughlan’s Episode 5 scoring 130,000 viewers and Aimee Lou Wood’s Episode 6 scoring 143,700.

glad it's stabilised. presumably the 7 day figures are also at 500k+ still
