I saw this last week :D

Bloody dreadful. Ok for a laugh but so damn shoddy overall. Had a decent turnout though given they aren't remebered at all down under and only really had about five hits.
 
Loads of people were lucky enough to hear this live! (Is Jo in tune at ANY POINT?)

I was just about to say how even with SEVEN of the fuckers there's not a single person you could get behind, root for or even HATE. I mean even H brought out some kind of feeling, even if it was pure fury. And yet, the sheer "down wetherspoons spending our jobseekers" look they have going on COULD change that and make them slightly more interesting.

I barely liked anything about them - "Reach" and "Bring It All Back" (and the hideous "You") were pretty much everything I didn't want in pop music. I'll never forget hearing "Bring It All Back" on Radio 1, thinking it was a joke, some obscure jingle they'd uncovered, only to learn they were fully behind it. As a Steps fan I was GOBSMACKED.

Their slightly more "adult" sounding (well you know what I mean..) offerings were better, but I could still never get on board. "Don't Stop Movin'" being everywhere, something which most people consider a great pop song, did not help matters. I don't know what it was, it just didn't work for me. The only one I could take to was "Natural" and even now, the cheapness of it with the NON-VOCALS prevents further enjoyment (not something I can apply to Rachel's MASTER WORK I might add as that obviously transcends her ropeyness)

On top of that, I hated the ballads. So NEVER A FAN

I never knew. Though I'm not sure NOTE-FOR-NOTE is quite right given Rachel's only known notes are "FLAT" and "DEAD"

I know Steps fucked up their reunion a bit by the end, but by LORD this sorry lot still make them look wonderful :D

First Take That and then 5ive reformed. Now 90s pop group S Club 7 are plotting a major comeback.

According to the Sun, Rachel Stevens, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O'Meara, Tina Barrett, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh and Paul Cattermole are returning to the spotlight with the help of billionaire music mogul Simon Fuller.

Before their split in 2003, the pop stars sold millions of records. Their biggest hits include Reach and Don't Stop Movin.

"The seven have had a lot of big-money offers over the years, but they only feel the time is right now," a source said.

"Simon wants this comeback to be even bigger than Take That or Steps." :eyes:

Fuller's management company XIX Entertainment, which also has the likes of singer-turned-designer Victoria Beckham and F1 star Lewis Hamilton on its books, will oversee the reunion.

S Club 7 are hoping that their fanbase is as strong as ever, and that they can surpass the success of other 90s groups like Blue and Steps, who reunited on the ITV reality show The Big Reunion.

"This isn't going to be the sort of comeback that Blue or 5ive made on The Big Reunion," the insider added.

"Anything Simon is involved in will be different and big."

Although the relaunch will see all seven members back together for the first time in 11 years, O'Meara, McIntosh, Cattermole and Barrett have continued to perform and tour as S Club 4.

I love that article paints Simon Fuller as some sort of Princess Diana/ Mother Theresa.

It's because of him they all came out of it penniless.
