So it looks like the S Club revival is really happening... (1 Viewer)

I’m seeing a lot of “Hey, remember how Jo was a massive racist on Celebrity Big Brother?” discourse on Twitter at the moment…
I always felt at the time that Jo knew exactly what she was doing, whereas Jade was more thick (that's not to excuse her behaviour just because she is dead, it was still racist).

Who was the other one? Wasn't it Shilpa against three of them?

Danielle Lloyd who came away from it all rather unscathed compared to the other two. Maybe because she was younger and a bit less famous. The stuff she came out with was just as bad, if not worse though. It was her that said Shilpa should "fuck off home" for example.

It always struck me that Danielle got a pass because she was young and pretty, where Jade was obviously the tabloid media’s favourite punching bag.

I imagine a willingness to get your tits out would always give the tabloids pause for thought.

I always felt (admittedly from memory) that Jo played along rather than instigated. Which was just as bad…

My memory was that it was Danielle who largely sat sniggering and enabling the other two, but reading the above (and wikipedia), I was clearly quite wrong.

Jade’s Mum also gets forgotten but she was fucking vile

I think Jo is fundamentally quite feral and nasty - I mean that's not an especially kind face, particularly in that lovely picture @jivafox keeps posting (:D) - but I'd not mind so much if she owned up to being feral and nasty, even if these are characteristics people don't necessarily want to pop on their Twitter bio. I still shudder at the memory of that GMTV interview where she launched straight into POOR ME feat. forced rocking :zombie:

She’s NOT sorry and she would do it AGAIN

Jo’s solo album, aptly titled “Relentless” …

:eyes: was the first digital album I ever bought I’m ashamed to say. Via the WOOLWORTHS WEBSITE!
:D UK peak #48 :disco:

Did we know that her second name is VALDA? (:D)

"In German Baby Names the meaning of the name Valda is: Power; rule" :eyes:

Jo's second album from 2021 is quite basic and definitely gone down the "I'm all grown up now" route, but it's also quite good. Don't @ me. It contains a cover of LUCIE SILVAS no less. :disco:

Rachel, Jo and Bradley were just on This Morning and said that the pre sale has sold out and they are adding an extra London date due to popular demand. They also said they would like to release new music when asked, and finished with fingers crossed. I am assuming Simon Fuller who is masterminding the reunion is only interested in cashing in on the nostalgia element of the group rather than going for anything new.

The only S Club 8er I want to see on stand-by (and by which I mean ALL FOURS) is Calvin

What does he look like now?

He doesn't have his tits out all over the place like the other one who's a dancer now, does he?

It seems to have sold REALLY well, and better than the last tour

Maybe it's because that 20 year nostalgia loop hadn't quite kicked in yet back then

So all the cheap seats sold out quick? :o
Yeah, I was surprised. I can still get the central block third row. So excellent seats but I just don't think £155 is worth it. I didn't even pay that for Steps and they are much more polished. I saw clips of the 2015 tour and it was so half-assed. Admittedly, they might be taking it more serious this time around, but I wouldn't bet on it. They never were the best live performers.

Is Jo a competent live performer? I’m assuming she is the strongest singer of them all as she often had lead vocals?
