After the excitement, terror, horror and elation of the latest ASFM on Friday night, keep the weekend fun going with plenty of the noughties’ BIGGEST BANGERS on Saturday night.

The playlist has a running time of approximately 2 hours and 4 minutes as things stand, and will be made available on both YouTube and Spotify before things kick off. I’d say it a fairly mixed playlist (although obviously leaning more to female pop because this is Moopy and I want people to turn up). Of course plenty of alcohol and whatever else floats your boat is MANDATORY.

I can’t deal with the noughties. I was only listening to dance and REAL R&B in this era.

i mean there are obviously lots of exceptions. Kelis. Christina. Missy. Justin. Nelly Furtado. Sugababes.

But when I think of noughties I think of Atomic Kitten, Christina Milian, Blue and Westlife. And I just can’t.

It’s cause it’s not old enough to be retro yet. I reckon I’ll look back fondly eventually. Another 5 years of Post Malone and Cardi B should do the trick.

as somebody who grew up on music of the late 90s and then really started LIVING FOR music in the early-mid 00s, I must say I'm far more nostalgic for the sounds of the 90s. when popstars now make songs that have "early 00s nostalgia" it generally leaves me cold. sonically it was hardly a special time.
