Soldi Sunday

I couldn’t think of anything else. Sunday has made me totally uninspired.

Just trying to book a fabulous air bnb in Margate for my birthday. This is one of the bedrooms. :disco:

Going over to my parents for even MORE FOOD. Thai yesterday. Indian today.

I've even got TWO gifts for my Dad. I don't even like him.

I'm mildly amazed that we've barely ever discussed DADDY ISSUES.

I don’t think we can be trusted to not turn that thread into filth within 4 posts.

FFS I’ve got the tiniest crack in my skin on my hand that I’ve got chilli and it’s been burning like a notch for 2 hours now.

Bit of an emotional day for me. The spawn came round this afternoon (criminal) and then we went to my mum's (criminals). Gave the box-of-dad his father's day prezzy (had no idea he'd be dead when I'd bought it just after Christmas though). Got Domino's on the way home and had no idea that chicken wings and cheeseless garlic bread could be so amazingly delicious!

@Lucille Dairy products stop capsaicin burning. Milk, ice-cream, yoghurt, cream will stop the burning for future reference.

I had a nice Father’s Day. Took the BBQ to my parents who have NEVER EVEN OWNED ONE (!) and cooked a seafood spectacular as my Dad fucking LOVES the stuff. Seeing him destroy it with glee on his face was worth every ridiculous penny I spent at the fish market this morning.

I'd kill for a seafood spectacular! As I'm the only one in the family who likes seafood it'll never happen. The look on Mr F's face when I told him the finny haddock from the market had cost £15 for my kedgeree, then he tried to argue that if I'd bought it from the supermarket it'd have cost about £7. We then had a long chat about how the supermarket fish was injected with yellow dye and smoke flavour and my properly smoked haddock was the real deal from the fish market and yes, I can easily taste the difference.

I went for a 40 mile cycle today, it was a beautiful morning but fuck me the weather turned. At one point I didn’t contemplate getting the train.

I am now lying down on the sofa, a shell of my former self

I’m not a fan of fish

well other than when it’s deep fried :D

It would appear that being on a mostly fat-free diet since last August and having only had takeaway twice since mid-March has caused my poor stomach to renege at the rich food and get rid of the delicious Domino's contents as fast as it possibly can. Twice in the last half hour so far. :(

I don't care, it was still worth it.

I adore fish but Mr Sheena hates it, so I have to get it where I can. Today’s seafood spectacular cost about £70 just for the fish for three people (well ok, four)- the fish market is so expensive, but it’s well worth it.

I've managed to train Iguana a bit into liking seafood. He still won't do prawns, mussels, etc which fair enough, but I'm glad I've got him on board for a nice TUNA STEAK :horny:

But you know when your heart just feels a bit sad about it all, because deep down you're a good person :shy:

My neighbours were cooking some sort of fish stew thing on the fire outside last night* and god it STANK.

We have a family member who's been acting like a prick for about a year now. Whenever it's mentioned I simply tell my parents to "let them". It's not worth getting bothered by.

It's true I know. I wish I was a bit more cold hearted sometimes and not let things bother me. It doesn't as much as it used to, I am getting tougher :o

I love all fish but I prefer seafood to actual fish, I think.

Fuck that, be more cunty and stop people trampling on you and making you feel bad when you ARE a good person.

I'm very aware it's very easy for me to see "let them act like a prick" when I'm not directly affected by it. But I do also think prickery is bred by people fighting it. If someone is allowed to to keep doing the wrong thing you like to think they'll realise they're upsetting everyone. Eventually.
