I don’t think any takeaways shut here, apart from one Chinese which was only for a few weeks. But I suppose considering this area isn’t exactly full of healthy people it wouldn’t have been a bad idea to keep them shut.

I have banned myself from takeaways this weekend in favour of eating the stuff that I probably shouldn't have just bunged in the new freezer after it thawed in the broken one. So tonight is going to be SCAMPI AND FISH CAKE PLATTER. I'm so posh. Tomorrow perhaps a roast dinner with sausages for the meat.

Oh God I’ve had at least NINE delivered since lockdown. I’m too scared of going to supermarkets (unless I go really early when no-one’s there, which is obviously dependent on getting out of bed). Which is actually true but there is also the minor issue of my being lazy and greedy

It is more the fact that we like a bit of everything, and the portion sizes for each dish are MASSIVE. Anyway, it was DELIGHTFUL and plenty to pick on for the rest of the evening whilst quaffing vino.

We went for a drive to the west side of the island today. I'm pretty sure islanders have given up caring about coronavirus now we've got this app that doesn't really work.

Car parks were packed, people out in the sea surfing and using kites. Even the ice cream vans were out and about.

Another of my bugbears on the food front is TOO SPICY FOR ME! even when it’s hardly spicy at all. I took a date to Tayyabs some years ago and oh the fuss and sweating. Poor love wanted a korma, so it was jolly bad luck on that front. That’ll teach me not to date people from Ipswich
