Have all the mainland schools broken up now? We still have little children in school here until Wednesday.

The island is dead considering it's summer holidays..this does not bode well for our shop.

Also Mandy made me walk through a field of corn last night, it gave me the chills and all I could think about was Children of the Corn.

My mates kids are still in school today/tomorrow.

I was reading something last night from someone in Ibiza about how the island is completely dead there, when really this should be peak season and absolutely rammed.

So I finally got my car booked in for it’s repairs after it failed it’s MOT this morning, only to get there and the bloke say I need an engine clean before they can sort it as there’s an oil leak :argh:

Maybe if they’d told me that when I mentioned the leak back when I was getting a quote two weeks ago :manson:

That's interesting. I assumed it was just here that was quiet because of the weather and ferry prices. It's worrying if everywhere is quiet tho.

We've been much quieter this weekend just gone, but I'm assuming that's because not everywhere has broken up 🤞

In Ibiza its a symptom of whats happened on the island. Over the last 10-15 years it's tried to chase the VIP/luxury market but now appears to have fucked it as no one is going.

I worked in Ibiza in the summer of 1999 which was peak trance and Club 18-30 time. Then when that started to destroy the island they moved into the VIP and luxury market.

Where do all the current youngsters go for their booze and shagathon holidays? Tenerife?

What a shame :(

Turkey seems to be very popular with young people I've noticed. And the usual Tenerife and Lanzarote.

My grandparents used to go to Ibiza for a holiday way before it became party central. The bit they would go to was unaffected by cheesy quavers so they continued to go until my grandpa died in 1994. So that's 30 years ago now.

I have every intention of treating myself to a holiday around October time. After the chaos of the last year, it will be good to give myself some time to relax away from it all.

For some reason I saw it on Wish You Were Here aged about 8 and pestered my parents to take me. By chance, I ended up living a few minutes from the apartment we stayed in!

Loads of it is raver free (even more so now) - especially up north.

Yeah its wild, all the residents of San An made a fortune out of pissed up brits then shut down all the bars in the west end because of the noise, its a ghost town now, which is a shame, had some wild summers in that place, but everything is temporary.

Croatia soaked up quite a lot of the electronic music destination market for a while, Malta has a lot of events as well. Ibiza's party scene is nearly all based in Play Den Bossa now, all in venues owned by one guy. It's shit if I am honest
