OK so 2 options for viewing GALA(S).

1) If enough for 2 semis occurs, dates are going to be 16th and 17th, but I'd need a guest host as I'm busy those dates? @ButterTart would you be willing? Say 8pm or at any time of your choosing...

2) the entire playlist be released in both spotify and youtube form as a shadow drop (1 entry so far is not on Spotify - I shed a tear I was so proud of the disruption :disco:) I personally don't mind this method at all. We are at 21 entries, so I think it would need to be 26+ entries to make splitting worth it.

Also, this little lot have indicated they may send something so enjoy a tag at the very bottom of a message that has finally addressed you in the form of a brief little reminder:

*As long as it doesn't conflict with my tea. I tend to have around 4-6 teas per evening just to ensure maximum disruption to all Mopsy events.

You have my permission to do whatever you want with it. I'll confirm with you via PM or a publicly tag if it's 'app'nin' (in which case that will be the time) or not as their will be a brief sponsored ad at the end of the GALA.
 
We do need the master list of previous entries publicly available. I've unfortunately received a song that was in Berly's ASFM Spooktacular. This list could be pinned in a relevant forum or can go in every new ASFM launch thread? I'm lucky that I spotted it.
 
Okay kick ass avenging angels, today is the day the SORBVISION II entry period closes - midday to be precise.



We also currently sit at 28 entries with @wildchild busy remembering how to copy and paste a gif. More is more and is of course welcome.

Also also, I have just bagged us a 2nd 90s dance icon for the results ExtravaGALA and if I were any older I would have wet myself - please expect something subtle and tasteful though as I don't call just anyone an icon.

Very happy with these songs. I've tried to pick slots to compliment and highlight the entry best and that are not too jarring against each other whilst still utilizing the variety etc. It's a fab playlist and I can't wait for you all to experience it.

AVATAR GALA will be some time tonight, posted in the afternoon as a live premier (time slot around 7pm). And that will leave you all in the capable hand (the one with all 5 fingers that isn't smeared with yesterday's sausage roll) of ButterTart (much excite and much thanks for stepping in - I'll send you the first playlist when I post the AVATAR GALA thread).

@Penelope darling you still have your avatar to pick - don't fret if you have no time, I don't think they're that essential.

Having said that, the following posters may want to pick a title for their avatars (again - not essential):

Oh I loved that Romy track and album from last year, I think it did pretty well. Will be interesting to hear if there’s anything else on the list that’s as good.

I genuinely had never heard of a Romy without a Michelle or even this Muna. I also didn't look up any chart positions (shocking), but see it did not chart and the album only got to #15 anyway, so for me I would have still put that in with no eyebrows raised (just my legs for the final disco bit at the end, ahem).
 
This is a really strong contest. I’ve got an early favourite but let’s see if anything else beds in on later listens.
 
I’ve just started this on shuffle at work today. Jenny Lewis and Perfume is quite a contrasting start to say the least.
