I said I probably will. I've been to Anastacia, Girls Aloud and All Saints on my own. But the Spice Girls is another level of cringe/uncool/embarrassing. Going is one thing, letting anyone know is quite another

I've not been to Wembley Stadium - in the unlikely event of getting a ticket, is it better to get standing on seating?

The thing with stadium gigs and standing is you'll probably be standing for 3-4 hours before the act comes if you want a half decent spot. At least with a seat it's yours. I'm tempted to get a good seated ticket.

I remember the time we were at Wembley for AGES to get a good spot for Madonna on The Girlie Show, and then when she came on there was a HUGE surge from behind. I lost my footing and was worried I was going to be trampled to death, so climbed up over the crowd, crowd surfed over the barrier, got rescued by St John's Ambulance, missed about 20 minutes as a result, then got deposited back somewhere in an adjoining postal district where I could barely even see the screens

Yep seats for me too. I’ve stood at plenty of arena gigs and for Eurovision and I’m pretty much always at the back or side for those but I’ve never been to an stadium gig before. And I have a shit bladder after even just a couple of drinks so if it’s absolutely rammed I’d have no chance.

IMO yes. You either have to squeeze your way to the front and not drink or piss for 2+ hours or be at the back and be able to do both.
The only time I ever stand at a gig is if its a festival (where you have no choice). When you're seated youre guaranteed a good view, have easy access to toilets/booze and best of all you can walk in as late as you like and get straight to your seat.
